KINGSTON – The Ulster County Legislature has approved the county’s contribution to the SUNY Ulster 2026-27 budget, including a $475,000 increase bringing the total contribution to $7.6 million.

Tuition will remain flat in the forthcoming academic year.

“The budget resolution also strengthens fiscal stewardship and transparency in financial decision-making at the college, requiring quarterly financial reporting to the county going forward,” said County Executive Jen Metzger.

She said County Comptroller March Gallagher has provided additional recommendations that she supports for the college administration and board to consider.
