SCARSDALE – A Scarsdale man has been charged with murder in connection with the killing of his mother at their Fox Meadow home this week.

Westchester District Attorney Susan Cacace said 26-year-old Chester Green was arraigned and remanded to the county jail pending his next court appearance.

As alleged, between July 5 and July 7, Greene killed his mother, 71-year-old Marian Green, at their home by stabbing and beating her several times with a sharp object and a blunt instrument.

“Like everyone in this county, I am shocked at the horrifying death of Marian Green and the manner in which she was killed,” said Cacace. “This tragedy is only further compounded by the familial relation between the victim and suspect in this case.”

The murder is being investigated by Scarsdale Police, the Westchester County Department of Public Safety and the Criminal Investigators Squad in the DA’s Office.
