Director Uwe Boll has made his controversial action film Citizen Vigilante available to watch in full on X for a limited 48-hour window.

The film’s official account announced the release Wednesday, calling it “the movie Hollywood doesn’t want you to see” and saying Citizen Vigilante would remain available on the platform until 10 a.m. Eastern on June 27. The post also included a video link to the film and was published by Citizen Vigilante on June 25, 2026.

“The movie is now available on X for 48 hours,” Boll said. “Enjoy.”

A second X post also promoted the full release of the film.

Citizen Vigilante has drawn attention for its anti-mass migration theme and its storyline centered on an American living in Europe who takes action after becoming frustrated with crime involving migrants. Actor Armie Hammer plays the protagonist.

The film has been banned in Germany and has already been reposted by Elon Musk.

The movie’s tagline reads, “When justice is denied, instincts turn to vengeance.”

A trailer for Citizen Vigilante was also released on YouTube.
