Croton-on-Hudson’s new budget set

CROTON-ON-HUDSON – by the Croton-on-Hudson Village Board comes in at $24.5 million, over $100,000 below the stated-mandated tax cap.

Highlights of the budget package include an $8.2 million capital program to address vital village projects; no rate increases in the water and sewer funds, and a strong fund balance with unassigned funds of 21 percent of expenditures, within the target policy range to provide the village with the resilience to face future fiscal challenges, said Mayor Brian Pugh.

He said adoption of the fiscal package by the board of trustees follows a budget priorities survey completed by residents, a public hearing, and work sessions held throughout April.
