POUGHKEEPSIE – Shrone “On Sight” Wright, 52, is expected to testify on his own behalf during his murder trial today (Wednesday) in Dutchess County Court. Wright stands accused of the murder of 50-year-old William Gearhart by stabbing him in the neck in Pershing Park on November 6, 2024.
Gearhart, represented by defense attorneys Kelley Enderley and Ryan LeGrady, is expected to testify before the jury that he acted in self-defense when he stabbed Gearhart.
The trial in Dutchess County Court Judge Jessica Segal’s courtroom experienced a unique stoppage last week when one of the jurors abruptly ran out of the courthouse after viewing an evidence photo.
