NELSONVILLE- The former Nelsonville Fire Department headquarters on Route 301 in the Village of Nelsonville will remain as a substation for the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department for the next five years.
The Putnam Legislature has approved a resolution authorizing County Executive Kevin Byrne to renew a lease with the Sheriff’s Department for the building, which is owned by the village.
The five-year lease remains in effect through February 28, 2031.
