House Speaker Mike Johnson announced Sunday that the Trump administration will provide members of Congress with formal briefings this week regarding the ongoing war in Iran.

Johnson disclosed the plans during a conference call with House Republicans, according to Fox News Digital.

The Senate briefing is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a House briefing at 5 p.m., according to the schedule outlined during the call.

Several senior administration and military officials are expected to participate, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., and Gen. Dan Caine.

The briefings come as U.S. military operations continue in Iran and lawmakers from both parties have sought updates on strategy, objectives, and the scope of American involvement.

No additional details about the format of the briefings or whether they will be classified were immediately released.
