Henry Constantin, director of the independent media outlet La Hora de Cuba, has been forcibly disappeared in Havana since Wednesday, according to social media reports.

According to the media report, the last communication with the journalist was after 6 pm on Wednesday, two days ago.

Constantin was at his home in the Cuban capital and had been warning about internet outages since Wednesday.

Later, on Thursday, the gate and door of his apartment were open and no one was inside. Furthermore, a State Security officer was monitoring his residence at least until yesterday.

An update from La Hora de Cuba on Thursday night confirmed that Constantin is still missing.

After investigation, he also does not appear in the police system as a detainee.

His disappearance comes during a particularly repressive week on the island, following the events in Venezuela and the arrival in the country of the remains of 32 soldiers who died in Caracas.

On Thursday, at least two arrests were made in the capital, and several people were placed under surveillance at their homes.

Apparently, the regime is worried about any signs of discontent in the capital, as they have several events planned for this week. @ADNCuba
