Well, another year is under our belt as the Hudson Valley’s number one online daily newspaper, and we, here at Mid-Hudson News would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and health 2026.
Long-time radio, newspaper and TV journalist Hank Gross created Mid-Hudson News in January 2000 as the first and only independent daily online source.
We broke the traditional news barrier publishing strictly online – no print editions – and developed a following to the point where, 26 years later, we are read by tens of thousands of people across the region.
“I can’t tell you the number of people who tell me that as soon as they get up in the morning and go online, the first thing they do is check Mid-Hudson News,” said Gross, who has continued to serve since Mike Martucci acquired the “newspaper” three years ago.
“I am so proud of our team of reporters who continue to bring you breaking news seven days a week,” said Martucci, publisher since January 2023. As I have said since all along, I want Mid-Hudson News to continue to grow to serve our region. We have reintroduced our sports and obituary sections to keep you informed and we are working on other additional information platforms going forward.”
