Vice President Kamala Harris is reportedly reconsidering her 2028 presidential ambitions after internal polling delivered a political gut-punch: she’s sitting in 6th place in a growing field of Democrat primary hopefuls.
For a sitting vice president, that’s not just embarrassing—it’s historic.
According to Harris Campaign Coordinator Joe Barron, the writing is on the wall.
“At this point, she has little chance of beating anyone,” Barron admitted. “It might be best to throw in the towel and look into other opportunities.”
Talk about confidence.
Barron went so far as to suggest Harris might pivot and run for Governor of California—a race she would also likely lose. That speaks volumes about how far her political star has fallen. Even in deep-blue California, where Democrats usually win without breaking a sweat, Harris can’t seem to find momentum.
For a politician who was once marketed as the “future of the party,” her polling collapse is nothing short of catastrophic.
The Democratic bench is getting crowded—and restless. As more contenders jump in and the base looks for someone, anyone, who can unite their fractured coalition, Harris’s support continues to slide. Democrats wanted a fighter, a visionary, someone who could energize their failing base…and instead they got Kamala Harris.
So now the question isn’t whether she can win.
It’s who she’s going to lose to.
To Quote Hillary Clinton, At this point, what difference does it make?
