KINGSTON – Ulster County Comptroller March Gallagher has released a quality review report on five contracts that provide constituent services. The report analyzed the self-reporting requirement under county contracts for services provided between 2022 and 2025.
This review looked at LaSalle School Inc., Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, Tara Sanders LLC, Tay Fishers Community Cornerstone, and Gateway Industries.
The report also sought to quantify the cost per service.
“For example, Legal Services of the Hudson Valley is retained by Ulster County to provide eviction defense services for residents in need in Ulster County, and we found that the average cost handled was $1,213. And when you think about the fact that a family that enters the emergency housing system is costing $3,000 a month, it comes clear that this is probably a very good investment,” she said.
As far as vendor reporting for LaSalle School the reporting requirement under the contract was submitted but the vendor did not meet the contracted goals.
For Tara Sanders, the report the quality of services rendered could not be determined because reporting requirements were not met.
And, for Tay Fishers Community Cornerstone, the quality of services could not be determined because the reporting was not fully completed by the vendor.
