Hello guys, welcome to my new video. Today we are going to explore how is to travel
in Croatia during corona time and which instructions you need to follow and what
you need to do. I know that we need to wear face masks, gloves and we are supposed to
have some water tissues with us for disinfection. So we are going to try a small trip today
in a little town which is approximately an hour and a half from the place where I live.
It's called Križacima and there you can find bloody Sabor of Križacima. In Croatian it's
called Kralji Sabor Križacima and that was organized killing of the Croatian Van Stjepan
and his followers by King Roman Emperor Sigmund on 27th of February 1397. Also Križac was the
birthplace of Catholic priest Marko who died at the hands of Calvinists in Košice in 1619
and was subsequently canonized because of his martyrdom. This event is common to
memorialize every September on day 7 in Križacima. After centuries of division
Empress Maria Teresa of Austria united the lower and upper Križevac into Križevac in 1752.
The word Križevci is plural of Križevac. So the town was also hit by the wars with the Turks,
but it regained importance in 1871 when the railway was built through it on the way
from Budapest to Rijeka. Križevci has nine churches, seven Catholic, a Serbian Orthodox
and a Greek Catholic, some of them built in Middle Ages. In the oldest, gothic one,
Church of St. Cross in Križevci. There are important baroque pictures and the marble
altar dating from 18th century by Francesco Rova. Also interesting is that the parish church of St.
Ane from 17th century is also in Križevci. So we are going to put some clothes on and we are going
to visit Križevci and let's see how is the travel during these times. So let me know what do you
about traveling during corona times. Even if it's nearly over, when are you going to travel again?
Is it going to be in some near future or you cancel all your plans for the rest of the year?
Or you are still hoping that it will all end soon and that you are going to travel this summer?
I can answer it for myself. I'm still not sure how this summer will be and if I'm going to travel,
but I hope that the earliest, if not summer, it will be in autumn or winter time. So I'll probably
try to put few places in one travel trip or even a few countries to
recuperate all these months and times that I was sitting at home. And that would be to let me know
in the comments what kind of traveling you are preferring right now and how it's going to be
for you. Now I'm going to take you on a walk around Križevci and that would be it. Thank you
for watching this video. See you next week in a new one, in some new adventures. And if you like
the video, leave a subscribe, comment, like and share your thoughts about traveling in corona
and share with me in the comments how is the situation in your country,
where are you from and how it's going over there.
Welcome to my new vlog. Today we are in one little town in Croatia named Križevci.
And as you know, in this time of coronavirus and everything, we have an obligation to wear
the masks. So I can see that a lot of people are not practicing the same, but I don't know,
to be honest, just to be safe and sure for myself, I decided to wear it, even if it's extremely,
extremely hot. So today I'm going to give you a tour around Križevci.
And it's a small town, there is basically not a lot of things to see and to do here,
but let's just take a quick little tour around.
