It actually happened and this changes everything for Houston as the trade details have officially come in regarding this star player plus Houston Texans finally get a win all in the time span of a few hours. We're here to break it all down on Texans Digest. What's up ladies and gentlemen it has been a crazy past few hours if you're a Houston Texans fan. We're going to break it all down here today on Texans Digest. We made the big trade that we were all expecting plus Houston Texans get a dominant win over the Tennessee Titans today. We're just going to get the elephant out of the room very quickly. The Arizona Cardinals are trading Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Texans in a blockbuster per me and Adam Schefter. Ian Rappaport had reported on this just a few short minutes ago from when I am recording this video. It's Harrison and a seven-round pick to Houston for a second-round pick this year and a sixth-rounder next year. Holy moly, they actually did it. Houston Texans actually made the trade for Marvin Harrison Jr. I don't want to say I told you so, but I definitely did tell you so. Yesterday, we had made the video, or I had made the video, talking about how it was probably going to be Houston, how Houston was the front-runner for it, how Houston was probably going to be the team to end up doing it, how they were front-running it, how everyone was saying that it was going to be Houston. And I was getting fried, told, hey, you're jumping the gun. You're going to make an apology video whenever they don't do it. It was all but certain that it was going to be Houston. And it was throwing people off saying, oh, well, he followed Brock Bowers on Instagram, so it must mean he's going to the Raiders. We all knew it was going to be Houston. A lot of people knew it was going to be Houston. I don't know why it came out of nowhere saying, no, it's not going to be Houston. You're doing it way too early. Everybody knew it was going to be Houston we had it was all but certain we had gotten this from Evan Sitterly yesterday I had broken it down on shorts yesterday but we had gotten this the Texans officially have a trade agreement in place with the Cardinals for Marvin Harrison Jr. per Adam Schefter Houston is presumably waiting to see if they beat the Titans on Sunday before submitting it through so it was all but confirmed everybody knew we were going to beat the Tennessee Titans this weekend not only were we going to beat the Tennessee Titans but after that the trade for Marvin Harrison Jr. was probably going to go through. I thought it wasn't going to be till Monday morning, but literally within the hour after we beat the Tennessee Titans, the trade goes through. Marvin Harrison Jr. is officially a Houston Texan. Some great news, man. Just some phenomenal news. It's absolutely beautiful to see him on this team. Obviously, I know what a lot of people are saying. Hey, having Marvin on this team, that doesn't help the offensive line. I understand that. But like I said, Houston needs a win to start getting some momentum going. I said it again. you can take a look at my past few videos I said hey not only do they need a few wins if you're going to face the Tennessee Titans you don't need to get out of here with the win against the Tennessee Titans you need to beat the brakes off of that team in order to make a statement it's exactly what the Houston Texans did I don't think I've ever seen the Houston Texans defense look so great I know people are going to be frying me in the comments saying well if it's against the Tennessee Titans of course they are just let us have this win man this has been over a month in the process and for Houston Texans fan it just seems like every week it's getting worse in this season man or today today we pull off the first win of the season not only that you put an absolute whooping on the divisional rival not only that we get the news that Marvin Harrison Jr. is officially a Houston Texan within an hour after the game it's just great news for Houston it's just I finally I don't know about you Houston Texans fans but I finally feel that breath back in my lungs I'm finally excited once again to see this team get going and we're gonna break down the game here right now but my goodness Cam Ward struggled against the Houston Texans defense they were flying around and getting him everywhere actually let's take a look at this Houston Texans defense firstly to start us off because they had themselves a great great game so Jake Hansen after 61 games he finally did it he finally gets his first career interception great interception by him just a phenomenal job all around thought there was a bug underneath my desk just a phenomenal performance all around by this defense Will Anderson Jr. three sacks on the game that is your defensive player of the year right there. Danielle Hunter got himself one as well. Defense was flying around. I remember seeing Reed Blankenship and saying, where is this Reed Blankenship in? He's playing pretty solid as well. Not only that, where's Bullock at? I don't think it shows him on the screen, but he had himself a great game as well. Kamari Lassiter looked pretty solid as well. Just all around, man, this was a good team today. This was a great football team today, and I know what a lot of people are going to be saying. Well, you played the Tennessee Titans. You should be a good football team. It's just a win, man. It's a win that we're excited to see as Houston Texans fans, winning on the field, winning off the field. The Houston Texans, man, we just had a great day today. Just a great day. I know a lot of people are going to be saying, hey, Marvin Harrison Jr. is not, this doesn't fix all of our problems. It helps. Something I love, CJ Stroud had himself a great game today. I know in that first half, we really struggled to get a touchdown on the board. It was 12-3 after halftime. Every single time we had it in the opponent's territory, it was that step where it was what we had seen against Cincinnati, what we had seen against Indianapolis it was just going into enemy territory once we got into enemy territory couldn't get the ball moving had to get three on the board we saw that against the Dallas Cowboys last week and I'm not gonna lie I had a little bit of flashbacks I know it's the Tennessee Titans but I had a little bit of flashbacks seeing that in the first half the first half Tennessee Titans kick a whole lot of field goals and have a pretty okay lead over the opposing team sound familiar to last week I had that and I was like man they better not do it coming out of the second half They go on that very long, methodical drive, which ends in a C.J. Stroud rushing touchdown. How do you do, C.J.? Which, again, I'm looking at that thinking, why would you run the ball with C.J. Stroud? But, whatever works. I saw Nico Collins, borderline, standing backwards, spreading out his hands, blocking two defenders at once on that rushing play. Great play by him. If you look at the ball right here, C.J. Stroud, he really spread it out throughout this game. Xavier Hutchinson had himself four catches. Nico had himself five. Jalen Nolan had himself five. KeShawn Booty had himself three. Dalton Schultz, three. Woody Marks, four. great game offensively that run game again was nothing crazy but it finally felt like there was a few plays where Woody Marks got a little bit going i know David Montgomery had that growing injury during the game you obviously hate to see that yet at the same time i had been saying for quite some time you got to give Woody Marks these starting reps he deserves it he's earned it and he got the starting reps and he played okay he played okay obviously you hate to see David Montgomery go down though i hope for a speedy recovery for him because just having him in that veteran backfield it does make a difference so obviously you would want to see him back asap but man just we did it man we did it we finally get on the board with the big win in a divisional game and put a whooping on that team and i said it i said hey these Houston Texans man they cannot scathe out of here with the win they got to put a whooping on these Tennessee Titans to make a statement it's exactly what they did right after the game we get the beautiful news music to my ears that we made the trade for Marvin Harrison Jr that we're gonna pair the college buddies up with each other it is official no more rumors no more no more of this talk about hey that's not it's not official you don't need to be reporting on that it is official from the most credible sources in the NFL Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter both of them reported on it Marvin Harrison Jr. is a Houston Texan man he is a Houston Texan I'm excited to see if he's going to wear number 88 or number 18 but either way I'm excited to see this guy on the football field and because we made this trade on a Sunday I would imagine by next Sunday he's going to be ready to go by our next game he's going to be ready to go that's what I'm thinking and I had talked about it before I said hey you're trading Marvin if you're going to trade for Marvin it's likely going to be a second round pick and probably either a fourth or a fifth and then some maybe additional players I put the nail on the head and maybe I was a little bit wrong about it because the second round pick was true and we ended up giving us and we ended up having to pay a six rounder as well great deal for the Houston Texans only having to give up a second round and a six round pick for a guy who still has such a high ceiling. Marvin Harrison Jr. is still in the rookie contract of his NFL career. It's great news, man. It's great news to see this guy on the team. If you guys remember DeMeco Ryans following the game, this is what he had to say. They were asking him, they said, hey, are you trading for Marvin? Because the news started to pile in whenever the media day was going on that, hey, this deal is getting close to being done. The Houston Texans are likely going to make the trade. They asked DeMeco Ryans. Media was asking him. That's all they wanted to talk about. Hey, are you trading for him? D'Amico Ryan's mic drop moment said, you guys want to know? We traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. D'Amico Ryan's laughs and walks off of stage after making that quote. He knew what was up. It was just a great day, man. It was just a great day for these Houston Texans. Just a great day for these Houston Texans, man. You get yourself your first win of the season. You do it in great fashion. The defense finally steps up. I get it. It's a struggling Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans offense but still man I had talked about it a few times you just need that little bit of burst you just need a little bit of momentum it doesn't matter if it's against a terrible team go out there and get a win and know that you can win that you can be a competitive football team and that's the kind of gas you need they did it they did it they made the trade for Marvin Marvin's going to be a great addition to this team put it on the big graphic here he did not reach his ceiling in Arizona you can see it right here his numbers steadily declined as he played less games as he got less receptions. I think he can hit that new peak, man, when playing right beside his boy. It's going to be interesting to see how they shake that ball out. You got Tank Dell, you got KeShawn Booty, you got Nico Collins, and now you got Marvin Harrison Jr. How are they going to space that ball out?
