The FBI Asked A Nuclear UFO Expert For Help... And It Feels Different
Oct 30, 2026
I heard about this mutilation,
and I mentioned to the woman, I said, you know, that night
that you said that you found the cow, I saw this strange light.
She got really excited and said, we saw it too.
It was very close to it.
Robert Hastings has spent more than 50 years
documenting objects over American nuclear weapon sites,
and in a new interview with Psychoactivo,
he described an active case near his own home,
the death of one of his key witnesses,
and a source who claims the FBI is now briefing
the White House on what it finds.
And that would put nuclear site UFO reports
in front of the president's staff
through a law enforcement agency probably for the first time.
Hey, you Follagers, I'm Christina Gomez.
And this is your UFO News Update.
Hastings lives at the northern end
of the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado,
an area with a long record of cattle mutilations.
In early August, a ranching couple about 15 miles south
of him found a mutilated cow,
and a neighbor found a second one shortly after.
Hastings had seen something that same night
when looking out his bedroom window.
And I saw a light zigzagging through the sky and then blinking out.
And I knew it wasn't an aircraft.
I don't think it was a drone.
It wasn't a satellite.
It was very weird.
So two days later, I think it was, I heard about this mutilation.
And I mentioned to the woman, I said, you know, that night
that you said that you found the cow, I saw this strange light.
She got really excited and said, we saw it too.
It was very close.
When he mentioned the lights to the ranchers,
they told him they had seen it too, much closer to their property.
About two weeks ago, the same couple
began reporting large objects in the sky
that smaller objects would join and then later leave,
each one flying off in a different
direction. They have tried to film them,
but the objects stay too far away to capture clearly.
Hastings is following this case
while mourning one of his most important witnesses he ever
worked with. Mario Woods passed away on October 26th.
And Hastings was one of the first people to share the news.
Woods was the face of one
of the strongest missile site cases in Hastings' files.
In 1977, he was an Air Force security policeman
at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota,
guarding the nuclear missiles spread across
the surrounding countryside.
One night, he and his partner Michael Johnson
were sent to check intruder alarms at a missile site.
Woods later recalled a huge object hovering overhead
and small figures approaching their
truck. The next thing he remembered
was a radio call asking where they were. About five hours had
passed, and the truck was sitting near a reserve nine miles
from the site. Woods carried that night
quietly for about 40 years before he reached out to Hastings in 2017.
Hastings first confirmed through
his military discharge records known as the DD214 that Woods
really served at that base in that role.
Then he arranged a hypnosis session in Florida that October.
If one looks at the
In the video of that session,
Mario is instantly terrified once he's under hypnosis.
He's so afraid of reliving this experience
that he's trying to crawl off the bed and hide.
In August, podcaster Jesse Michaels reunited Woods
with Johnson after nearly 50 years apart.
Weeks later, Woods was diagnosed with leukemia
and he passed away within two to three weeks after that.
For decades, accounts like Woods were dismissed
by the agencies that should have been asking about them.
But that has started to change.
The same kind of missile site testimony Woods gave
is now drawing interest from the FBI,
and Hastings himself has been questioned.
The Bureau first reached him through Robert Salas,
the former Maelstrom missile officer,
who had already sat down with agents and gave them Hastings' name.
The lead agent, who Hastings would only call Adam,
had already read UFOs and nukes before they even spoke,
which that was Robert Hastings' book.
The FBI has authorized a small team of FBI agents scattered around
the country in various offices, and that they've been given
the task to catch up, is the way it was explained to me, and get
the FBI up to speed in terms of learning what has actually gone on,
because apparently there is now an official push for the FBI
to be able to speak knowledgeably and to be able to investigate.
You know, knowing basically the outlines
of the history of the situation.
Hastings didn't take the agents at their word alone,
but he did agree to talk.
Three people he trusts vouched for the effort.
Jim Semivan spent about 25 years in the CIA's clandestine service.
Luella Zondo, who led AATIP,
the Pentagon's UFO program, and Chris Mellon,
who served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence.
Each of them told Hastings separately that they
were working with the bureau and believed
it was trying to understand what has actually happened
and not shut the subject down.
With that assurance, Hastings spent about two hours walking
the agents through everything he had collected since the 1970s.
Then Hastings shared one more detail.
According to him, another highly credible source separate
from those three men told him the FBI
is briefing White House staff on what the team is learning.
Hastings didn't name the source, and the FBI hasn't confirmed it.
But the claim lands at a very telling moment.
Because Jay Stratton has argued in recent interviews that presidents
were kept in the dark about a legacy program involving the CIA,
the Air Force, the Department of Energy, and private contractors.
If the FBI is now carrying these findings to the White House directly,
that would be a route around the agencies that Stratton describes.
If the FBI is briefing the White House
on UFO activity near nuclear weapons,
should those findings go to Congress next,
or should the Bureau finish its work first?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Hastings also revealed that therapist Yvonne Smith,
who worked with Mario Woods,
has offered to regress him about his own encounters,
and is even considering it.
He added that phone
and email harassment against him picked up again just this week.
A 2025 Wall Street Journal story claimed
the Pentagon spread UFO myths for decades,
and it explained the 1967 Maelstrom missile shutdown
as a secret electromagnetic pulse test rather than an object.
No one approached me prior to the story.
Or Bob Salas. Bob Salas refuted this in writing a letter to the editor
of the paper. So did Mark von Rennenkamp. So did I. And Mark did
the lion's share of the work finding the fact that this EMP generator
was not even in existence for several months after the incident.
Rebuttals were sent and no correction followed.
The government documents behind
the Pulse explanation create a timing problem.
They show the system wasn't proposed until 1971
and not tested until 1973,
four to six years after the missile at Maelstrom went offline.

The last case Hastings investigated himself was in October
of 2010 at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming,
when the Air Force lost contact
with 50 Minutemen III nuclear missiles for about 45 minutes.
A retired Air Force target specialist
contacted maintenance crew on his behalf.
These two missile maintenance technicians said that while they
were out in the field, they witnessed a huge cigar-shaped object.
Flying silently above the missile field,
and they said it was just huge, a huge object.
According to that source,
more than one team reported the object to supervisors.
The Air Force Review blamed a replacement circuit card
that was one-eighth of an inch from being fully seated.
Hastings kept his own experience as private
for decades to protect his nuclear research,
then went public in 2019 with Dr. Bob Jacobs in their book Confession.
In early 1995, in a Pittsburgh hotel room,
he woke up to what he describes as a telepathic message.
And I was pretty sure these entities were nearby
and were going to interact with me.
And I gasped out loud, they're here.
And no sooner had I said that, Pavel,
my body literally levitated off the bed.
I was airborne.
I was heading toward the ceiling.
And I was not dreaming.
I was not hallucinating.
I was in the air.
Gravity did not exist for me for what seemed like five or six seconds.
He woke hours later in daylight.
A firefighter outside him told him that his hotel
and the one next door had lost power overnight,
while restaurants across the street on the same grid kept theirs.
His last remembered encounter was on New Year's Eve of 2014,
when he saw a gray being at the foot of his bed.
Hastings dates the current era
to the December 2017 New York Times story that exposed AATIP,
The Advanced Aerospace
threat identification program.
He calls David Grush, Matthew Brown, and Dylan Borland American
heroes, and he points
to Jay Stratton now discussing nuclear-related UAP activity in public.
After interviewing 169 Air Force veterans,
he hopes to hear a president confirm non-human intelligence
in his lifetime.
Should the Colorado Sheriff's Office open a formal inquiry
into the San Luis Valley sightings and cattle mutilations?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments,
because I think they probably should.
But Hastings is not the only one facing pressure for speaking out.
My earlier video covers
the treason threat hanging over whistleblower Dylan Borland,
the break-in at Matthew Brown's home where only
his grandfather's ashes were taken
and spread across the floor,
and the active duty sailor who was told Arrow might bring
in the Secretary of War to make him talk again.
So make sure to watch this video next.
I'm Christina Gomez.
That is it for today.
I will see you again next time
for another UFO News update.
Be safe and remember,
keep your eyes on the skies.
