Hi there. Welcome to Homestead Happy Mama. In today's video, I'm going to bring you along to
see what our morning chores and morning routine looks like. When we first get up, we love to
snuggle and drink coffee and sometimes watch maybe a cartoon or something or sometimes we'll read a
scripture to start our day. And then I open up the blinds. That is like the very next thing that I do.
I love to let the sun shine in and then we get started on breakfast. So this morning,
we're going to have biscuits and tomato gravy. Okay, so we're going to take you along and show
you what the boys do for their morning chores. Sometimes mommy does them, sometimes they do them
and sometimes we do them together. It just depends on what kind of day we're having.
So this morning, they're going to show you.
Okay, y'all ready? Let's go. The biggest brother, he's with his papa right now.
So we just have the other three. This is our little mini barn. We shot fireworks last night,
so we haven't got to clean up yet.
So first, what do y'all check? Okay, don't let her out. That's dolly. So they have water. I put
water in there yesterday and it's already that dirty, but we'll probably change it this evening.
We just added them.
Yeah, she's a big baby chick over there. Right by its mama. She's growing so fast.
They want to get out. Marshmallow. She gets stuck in these.
I have it on them. Stay right there. I'll get some of the feed and she'll be able to.
Yeah, the feed bucket's right there. I'll get some hay. I'll be right back. Don't open it.
Okay, we'll just do a little scoop. Do it away from the, okay, away from the door.
The ducks love that. They share. It's all over their head. All right, hurry, get out, get out.
Great job. And there's some over there. Look at those sweet ducks.
I bought this at Tractor Supply and I think a storm blew it off, but I had a nail up here.
It was cute. So yeah.
It's like crooked.
Miss Blackberry, what are you doing? Hey, sweet girl. Hey. We think that
Dolly could be pregnant. We bred her before buying her and so hopefully we'll have some
babies by October. I like your new fishing hat. Let me see. Cool. Daddy got a boat, huh?
You're gonna go fishing? Yeah. You're gonna go with us. I can't wait.
So they are done feeding the goats and the ducks. We have to get them some hay and next we will
feed the rabbits some hay and feed and make sure that they have water. Rabbits get overheated very
quickly so we have to stay on top of making sure they have water here in South Louisiana.
And after that the boys go and collect the eggs from the chickens and sometimes we get surprises.
They will lay in new areas and so we have to just stay on top of that because if you've ever
encountered a rotten egg, you will never forget it. There's the hay right in the doorway.
Okay, Miss Jetson, you want to scoop this up? Yeah, I'll try to kind of break it.
There's some speckles.
We've been so busy we haven't got to clean our little
mini barn out.
Uh, I think Jada got all the eggs, baby. Yeah, you want to hold them? Yeah, let me hold this.
Hey, wow, that's a ton.
All right, Jimmy. Jimmy, that's his nickname.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. That's nine and ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen.
Hey, you want one? You can't have it. I'm not gonna cry. No, those are good.
Hey.
I'm gonna try to catch her.
She's trying to run.
Y'all come eat. Say come eat. I wanted to show you a little snippet of my garden. It is very overgrown
with weeds that I have just not tended to in the last two weeks. All it took was two weeks of just
not being home and being super busy, but we still are harvesting like squash and okra and tomatoes.
So this is kind of what we're dealing with here, but hopefully it's not too late. I can get out
here and salvage some of this beautiful veggies we have. Our puppies are growing so fast.
Let me know if you would like to buy one. I actually shipped them and you could have a
bloodhound puppy. They are fully CKC registered and they make the best friends. We love our puppies.
So next we feed them and, well, we feed the mama and water her and then we clean up the kitchen
after breakfast. Well, that's it for today, everyone. Thank you so much for stopping by
