We sold our house in our tiny subdivision! With our four boys, we are expanding and moving to the country on a little farm with 16 acres. First we want to give tribute to all of our precious memories we have made. This has been a long awaited dream, and we hope you will enjoy a few of our special memories on this video. We have zero experience of what living on a farm is all about. We would love for you to join our journey in learning!

Today's the day!
What are we doing, babe?
We're putting that old house on.
We sold our house!
Are y'all excited?
Yeah!
Now, before we celebrate too quickly,
let me take you on a journey.
This is our home
of seven years
and we're finally moving to the country.
Here's my
family when we first bought this
house. We were so
excited. It was our first
home we ever bought
and
we loved it. We were happy and
it was perfect for our family
with two kids at the time.
This home was the perfect
size for our little family.
We had two children at the time
and it was just
right for us. They didn't mind at all
our small little backyard.
But in the back of my mind
and over the
years, I just began to long
for a bigger space
for my kids so they could run
and play and be curious
and explore God's
creation.
So a friend of mine
would let me come to their property
and
bring my kids and
they had horses and
animals.
I was able
to have an opportunity
to get outside and
just be free and clear my
head and see the beauty
around me.
Although I was thankful for my
home, living in a subdivision
can feel like
the walls are
closing in on you. Especially
when you're used to growing up
where you can walk outside
barefooted and no one really sees you
and you can just
breathe.
Weather's sad,
weather's sad,
weather's sad.
I remember the weather
was summer, weather's sad,
weather's sad.
This is
the heaven of
animals.
This is
the kingdom of
animals.
This is my first
born son holding
my third baby boy
and I am so
grateful for the memories that we have
in this home.
Weather's sad, weather's
sad.
Give him kisses.
Oh, that's so sweet.
Starting him off young like I
started. He's going to be cutting my grass.
I ain't got nothing to worry about anymore.
Hey, Joel. Say hey.
You like your choo-choo?
He's going uh-oh,
uh-oh.
Watch out, Jay.
What's so funny?
Jay's funny.
I'm glad you're having fun.
In the middle of
these crazy, chaotic,
beautiful,
amazing, messy
seasons, we lie to ourselves
and tell ourselves that
it will never end and we
think it will last forever
but it's not true.
It flies by.
Whether we give it
permission to or not, it just
slips out of our hands
so quickly as we
grasp and try to hold on
but that's not what we were
ever intended to do. We were
made to let our kids fly.
Run away.
Keep it.
Away.
I think of what the world could be.
A vision of what I see.
A million dreams.
A thousand dreams.
Good job!
And maybe after all, we are a little crazy
for dreaming
but
if we don't dream, we'll never
reach for more.
We'll never have more
and find greater things.
So many times, I would
come out on this back
swing and
in my frustration,
I feel so closed in.
I didn't always get
it right but I would look up and I would
thank God for the trees and I was
so grateful I could see trees.
And sometimes I would
take a ride and just
dream
and just see horses
and wide
open spaces
and there were far
too many times I would be
embarrassed to tell you how many times
we looked at houses and land
and it just never worked out
and so I had
to really dig deep
and find a place of
gratefulness and contentment
and that's what we did.
We actually were blessed
with another baby boy
and I just realized
you know, I've been given
such a gift with my
family and I am just going to be grateful
for this time.
Until I learned
to truly give thanks and be content
in the season I was in,
that is when I found
true happiness.
I am by no means
saying to let your dreams
die, but just
be content in the waiting
for those dreams to come true.
I'm
not two
no. No more.
I'm two. That's right.
I think you're the first
child to get that.
Remember babe?
My retard.
Alright, let's see
No, what about the story?
Mom said one more story.
A short story.
Add the short story.
Oh, it's that one?
Yeah.
Literally, like two months old.
You got it?
No.
Alright.
In the times of waiting is usually
when we are growing the most.
Even when we can't see what is
happening or going on around us.
Something beautiful
will be birthed.
We're home!
That's a baby.
Baby Judson.
He sleeps good.
My grandma cleaned our room,
made his bed.
Hey, what are y'all about to see?
Baby.
What's his name?
Judson.
What do y'all think
about him?
Cute.
Don't touch him.
And just when we least expect it,
we find that there has been
something waiting for us all along.
To you.
Happy birthday
to you.
To you.
Happy birthday
to you.
Don't fall.
Today we are busy
packing and
getting all our things
ready for the big day.
Keeping the kids
busy with puzzles.
Stand up and go cheese.
Mom, can you get me and Judson?
Hold on. Bend down and then hop up.
Is this real life?
Yeah, we about to move.
What are we doing?
We're moving to the country.
And where are we at?
We're in the U-Haul.
In the midst of extreme happiness,
I still feel
extreme sadness.
This was our home
for almost seven years.
This was the place we brought
our babies home.
This is the place we made so many memories.
There you go.
Well, this is our last
and final goodbye.
Do you have anything you want to say?
No?
You okay?
We don't want to move.
You don't want to move?
We'll get to see them again.
I know it's hard.
I know. It'll be so
worth it though, I promise.
We had to fill up our
U-Haul.
This will be our second time.
I know.
I love you.
Today, as we say goodbye,
I will always remember
the place that we called home.
