Mindfulness with Leia - 01 restlessness

The Body That Can’t Settle Today, we will begin to explorie restlessness: the hindrance that keeps us skimming the surface of our lives. This is my strongest hindrance, and it often starts in the body.
That jittery leg, the fidgeting hands, the spine that won’t relax.
Have you ever tried to meditate and felt like your whole body was in protest? Like it would rather do anything than stay still?
This physical restlessness is a kind of resistance to stillness. Sometimes it’s pure energy needing to move.
Other times, it’s something deeper, an avoidance of what stillness might reveal. We reach for distractions before we even realize we’re uncomfortable.
We shift, adjust, sigh, not because we’re lazy but because stillness asks us to feel, and feeling can be confronting.
When we bring awareness to the restlessness without reacting to it, that is when the energy can begin to transform.
Where do you feel the restlessness in your body? Use your senses to stay in the present moment. Don’t judge yourself, just be aware.
Thank you for listening and I will see you in the next video,
