What's up guys?
Welcome back.
We are moving some things around today.
Stan Musial is going to go to first, Chase Utley at second, Alfonso Soriano in right.
Just made a lot more sense.
You guys were telling me that in the comments.
Chad has also decided that Goose Gossage and any set collection rewards that we unlock
should just go automatically on the team.
And I agree with that.
It makes sense.
It's not even a program.
Why would it be on the program wheel?
This thing doesn't function properly all the time.
But anyways, welcome back.
My name is Shelby.
If you're new, hit that subscribe button down below.
Lineup for today is going to go Ely De La Cruz, Bryce Harper, Alfonso Soriano, Kyle
Schwarber, Nicky 2-Bag, Stan Musial, Carlos Santana, Chase Utley, and Carlos Correa.
With Luis Rendifo, Wilson Contreras, Ryan Mountcastle, and Eddie Rosario on the bench.
That's your lineup card brought to you by SeatGeek.
Use code Shelby.
We are going to be on the road against George Kirby.
He's got Aiden Miller, Yohandi Morales, and the like, Holland Huck in the lineup.
Some pretty good future stars.
Okay, some cards we may see if we get a W today and unlock a diamond pack.
He's taking us to Busch Stadium.
The ball does not travel well here.
This is another park like Minute Maid Park where center field's actually like the Bermuda
Triangle.
Balls don't go anywhere.
Let's pitch with Verlander and just try and score first in this game.
Curve ball down.
Misses one too.
I didn't get to look at it.
Primary's four seam.
He's got the circle changes.
It's fifth.
No.
Oh, hold up for me, Ely.
Gotta work out them forearms, baby.
Get a shake weight.
Shake.
I'm going to stop.
There.
See, look.
Bryce knows.
Bryce's been deadlifting 500 since he was six.
Oh, baby.
That slider's in a tough spot.
It's tough to get a tunnel on that.
Looked like a hanger out of the hand, though.
I'm going to be pulling the trigger on pitches close down and in like that, especially with
the lefties.
We will be ready to go.
Now, I'm going to take until we have a strike with Alfonso Soriano.
Same card, right out over the plate.
Alfonso.
Oh.
Oh, boy.
107.
Right to third.
All right.
Kind of a quick inning, but not our worst at-bats.
See if he'll go off out of the zone here with the heater.
Try and get a gauge.
Oh, no.
Too much plate, but I was going to say, let's get a gauge on his timing.
He was very late.
We made our read on a missed pitch.
Ground ball shortstop, Ely De La Cruz.
A tough play.
The green bar moved.
All me 97 speed.
Two down.
This man has player of the month showy Otani at parallel four already.
Can use him in that event, I believe.
He can kind of rig it to where you hit end pitch with him every single game.
We might work on that parallel five grind before that event is over.
Thumbs up down below if you want me to stream until the pop.
I'm going to do a stream where I'm parallel five grind Shohei before that event's done.
Nicky.
Two strike base hit challenge just there, pitching backwards.
We got one on with one out.
Sinker down and away.
Misses 1-0.
Had a feeling he was going to throw it.
It's too far away to swing at it, though.
Slider in.
Misses 3-0.
Carlos Santana on deck.
Change up.
Misses four.
One more pitch walk to stay unusual.
There's back-to-back packs.
There's a runner in scoring position.
Carlos Santana.
No!
Smoked that curve ball, but we were a little on top.
Got us to chase down a little bit below the knee.
We hit it hard, but right in second for a two ball.
We get a couple packs.
We do not score.
Adley.
First pitch fastball.
He is way behind on that fastball.
Not even close.
If I can locate Mixwell, he's going to have a hard time.
Good cutter.
Ellie.
Two pitches.
Two outs here in the bottom of the second.
Ellie steps in.
That's not a good cutter, and he just blew us a kiss.
Three pitch inning.
It's got to be a record.
Chase!
Lead off single.
Oh.
Hung a slider right out over the plate.
We were just a bit underneath of it.
Correa flies out.
Here comes the time for the order.
Curve ball down.
Misses 2-0 to Ellie De La Cruz.
He went change up, and I chased it.
Back-to-back innings.
We blow it.
We get ahead, and we chase off the plate to double place.
Let's keep pitching.
Flatball left field.
Two pitches.
One down here in the third.
That's four outs on the last five pitches for Verlander.
One out bottom three.
He's only at 12 pitches.
That's the beautiful thing about us being horrendous with runners on base right now.
This guy's having a hard time even making solid contact.
That may be his best swing of the game.
Now Michael Harris in there.
1-0.
3-1 on Michael Harris.
I am not scared of him at this point, so we're going to go right at him.
3-2.
Get him out in front of this over top.
Pops it up.
Actually was under it.
Ball!
Change up.
Misses away.
2-1 to Bryce Harper.
Alphonso Soriano on deck.
Mm.
Straight 4C.
Now he went curve ball.
Again, we chased below the knee.
There we go.
We take that one.
3-2.
Now he's got to come right after us.
Stahair underneath of it.
We got good exit below, though.
It's going to stay in the ballpark.
You really do need like Perfect Perfects to hit homers in this place.
We were definitely underneath of that.
Somehow got 98 exit below, though.
Doesn't even get to the warning track.
Here's Soriano.
That sinker felt high in.
Base knock.
It's a 1-out pack.
Got our pitch.
Didn't miss it.
Take it off here for a second.
Get in there.
You're there.
Easy, big dog.
There's another pack on a stolen base.
We're in scoring position with 1 out.
Held up on the slider.
It's 3-0 to Schwarber.
I think I'm going to swing here.
3-0.
Ah!
That's how I was.
I'm under the foreseam over the sinker right now.
Not getting a read on the movement.
We got a read on that one, though.
It's a base hit out the right.
I'm going to draw that throw home.
Oh, we're safe all around.
I got nervous.
He did the right thing.
He hit the cutoff, but he did not throw it to third after he hit the cutoff.
Now there's 1 out.
Runners on second and third for Castellanos.
We auto pitch in here.
What's up?
Slider.
Ground ball.
It'll be an RBI ground out for Nick Castellanos.
We'll take that.
A little small ball here in Bush Stadium.
Now Stan Musial.
I'm looking for a sinker to just split in half into a gap.
Curve ball.
Ripped.
Went down there and barreled it.
Oh!
That ball landed in front of him and left, and he didn't get it in.
An RBI single for Stan Musial in St. Louis.
Come on.
Oh, Carlos Santana.
Finally, we jumped on it.
We were out in front, though.
We're up 1-2.
Where's he going to go?
1-2.
Carlos Santana again hits it hard to second base, this time even harder than the last
time he was up.
1-0-2 off the bat.
Ends the inning with a runner on first.
We have five hits in this game.
Two runs scored.
Some small ball that inning.
Got lucky on that base hit for the RBI single.
We'll take it.
We're up two.
Fly ball to level.
Oh!
There's his best swing of the game so far.
It's going to stay in the yard.
Mike Trotter.
We've got to have a dominant inning here and then go score like three more.
Two pitches, two outs.
He flies out the center.
96 off the bat.
But, again, the Bermuda Triangle out there.
We've got to get a range win in this game.
I want two diamond packs.
So many pack options in the game right now, and that future stars Ellie De La Cruz in
the chase pack.
We've got to get him.
I have to get him, because if we get him, we don't have to use Ellie De La Cruz future
stars, our wild card, anymore.
That opens it up to use any card we want from set one instead of just focusing on Ellie
since he's been so good.
Three up, three down for JV.
Let's just put our foot on the gas.
Oh, chase hammered.
It's going to go foul, though.
One, one.
Bop.
Down the line.
Get all the way into that corner.
He cuts it off.
It'll be a single.
Another pack.
At least it's not a double play.
I dropped my PCI on it.
Hanging slider to Ellie.
We were just underneath.
I've never been so disappointed in myself.
Bryce is going to have the same opportunity here.
We're yelling overrated in the background.
That's what we're doing.
We're doing what now?
Base knock for Bryce.
103 off the bat.
Alfonso Soriano.
Just a bit off the PCI there.
We fly out the center.
We leave two more on base.
That slider I missed with Ellie is going to be burned into my brain if I don't hold on
to win this game.
Ground ball.
Oh!
How did he even knock it down?
JV's there.
PFP's.
Aiden Miller in.
Phillies.
27 to go.
27th overall first round pick.
Can we get a rollover on this?
Floyd.
Fly ball.
All right.
I'll take that.
Two down.
Even better.
First pitch cutter.
Pulled a foul.
Let's hit that hard.
Down and in.
How about that?
No.
We're suddenly patient now.
How about a dot?
What are you doing with the dot?
Spanked.
There goes the perfect game and the no hitter all in one swing.
That was his best half out of the game.
No doubt about it.
Johandy Morales.
Another one of these new draft pick cards is in.
Swings over the curve ball.
0-2.
Ground ball double play.
I'll take that.
I don't know why I said ground ball double play.
I meant to say ground ball shortstop.
I'll take the strike out for the pack.
Let's hit.
Swarms!
Bang!
That's exactly what it's going to take to hit a home run.
I mean, look at that.
That's Kyle Swarbrick.
Perfect.
All variety.
4-0-5.
The right center field.
Gets into the bullpen.
We are up three.
Ejecto Sedokas!
Hey!
We just unlocked Morales ourselves as well.
It's the new all-star program that just came out, I believe.
At 10 points in this new all-star program, you unlock a free 96.
So look at that.
Do we use this Morales card?
Or should I say, do we throw him on the program wheel?
Is this a program wheel worthy player?
And which other players here are program wheel worthy, would you say?
Ozzy Albies looks nasty.
4-8 Solaire is always good, at the very least, a bench bat versus lefties.
I'm going to grind this whole thing out anyway so that we can get these packs.
One of these is a guaranteed rare round for a 99.
We will be using that pack.
It's 11 total bases.
Three runs scored.
One walk, one stolen base, and one strikeout.
That's 17 total packs for the episode to go with our two diamond premium packs.
I also missed some packs in the last episode.
As a penalty, I'm going to shave some off.
We're just going to add five today.
So we're at 22 total standard packs, two diamond packs.
Let's go add some goons to our squad.
And again, let me know down below which packs that are coming out in this game right now
or have come out in this game recently that I should target first.
What should we be going after right now?
There's a new BR Flawless pack as well.
Follow me on Twitch.
I'm usually live Monday, Wednesday, Friday, grinding new content as it comes out.
Come chill with the Twitch squad.
First and foremost, let's do 22 packs.
It'll bring us down to 35.
22 standard packs.
We are looking for Edwin Diaz, Justin Verlander, Aaron Judge, Mike Trout, Shohei Otani, and
we will be done with the collections.
We're done with the National League, just on Edwin Diaz and Justin Verlander, and Verlander's
now down under a 90, so that's realistic.
Very.
Now we're down to our final three packs here.
Absolutely nothing.
Standard packs, I've had great pack luck lately, I cannot lie.
Anyone who's seen that pack in play, pulled a diamond in every position yesterday that
I posted, go check that out.
Pack luck was insane.
Standard packs have been brutal.
I even opened one extra there and didn't get anything.
The question is, which two of these three are we going to open?
The draft day pack, where we could get Max Clark, Dylan Cruz, Wyatt Langford, Paul Steens.
Home run derby pack has Vlad Guerrero Jr.
I've already pulled him once and went chaotic with him in ranked seasons.
He's bananas.
And we have the all-star game pack, where Elias Diaz, 99, Elias Diaz, 99 overall.
I don't know.
Let's do the home run derby pack first.
First dice rolls on the derby pack.
Oh, are you kidding me?
Are you serious?
We have pulled Vlad, I have pulled him twice now.
I've pulled him twice.
Come on.
Vlad and Randy.
Wow, Randy's pretty insane too.
I got to go Vlad though.
Let's do Vladdy.
Man, that is insane.
Now I took Vladdy mostly because the rare round of this draft pack is a bunch of outfielders.
We're looking to get an outfielder now in this next one.
Draft day pack, looking for the rare round twice.
It's 98.
All right, we got Walker Jenkins, 85 vision, 100 clutch.
We have this Jacob Wilson card, high contact, high vision, high clutch, good speed and defense.
He could play the outfield and he got ret louder, four pitch mix.
He does have a sinker, not good control of it though.
I think I'm going to take Jacob Wilson.
I'm going to do Jacob Wilson.
He can play all over the place.
We'll add him to the team.
We'll throw him on the bench, see where we can fit him.
Vlad Guerrero Jr. looks amazing in the three hole of this lineup between Bryce Harper and
Kyle Swarbrick.
For Bryce Harper, by the way, at parallel four, we're on that parallel five grind with
this card.
He is someone who we could potentially be using as our wild card once set two falls
off the board.
He's been that good to compete with Ellie de la Cruz.
And this is someone who, if we pull that Ellie de la Cruz cycle card, would really open up
the door.
We're going to have that site in set four.
We can have Ellie de la Cruz cycle card, Bryce Harper as our wild card, trying to set it
up that way if we can.
But Vladdy Guerrero Jr. is going to make his debut on the squad in the next episode.
If you're hyped for that, hit that thumbs up down below.
Go use code Shelby at SeatGeek.
I love you guys.
I'm out.
Peace.
