Homemade FISHING Pole Out Of A Christmas TREE! (TROUT FISHING Challenge)

It was the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring except tiny dog while laying in bed dreaming of chrome waiting for santa to come to my home in the morning i rose because i heard a big racket it was a broken fishing pole not a brand new sims jacket with only one option i cut down my tree and could i catch a fish on it you'll have to wait and see all right well today's fishing day we're gonna go out and we're gonna find our rod and we're gonna find all our tools that we need to get this thing going but i started at marlin's house here and i was talking to him on the front porch about the plan today where we're gonna go and i noticed in his backyard was the absolute perfect little charlie brown christmas tree so he's going to work we're gonna wait for him to leave i'm gonna grab our gerber hatchet we're gonna go be the grinch and steal his christmas tree see you later have a nice day at work look at how perfect that little thing is looks like mother nature put it here just for us good diameter nice stout base to it we're gonna load it up in santa's sleigh here now let's head to the lake so you guys have already kind of got in the gist is that i'm really doing a lot of this just totally on the fly this is a random idea i had and really it's just to kind of bring around a little more christmas spirit so that santa's sleigh can fly so once we all get enough christmas spirit and sing loud for all to hear we'll start all catching more fish and get good presents this year for old santa you won't be on the naughty list so what i got i'm not showing you these yet basically all i got is i got my tree i'm gonna pull this out here i got my tree i'm gonna limb this thing should have decorated it first i feel like this tree really had a good life but now it's gonna catch fish now it's gonna take life and give it again so i'm gonna limb this thing off i'm gonna take these little eyelets that i bought i'm gonna put them into the tree and i'm just gonna tape the reel to it with some 10 pound 15 pound test and set up one of my favorite trout setups and just go through a bunch of them see if i can find a fish and uh let's get the show on the road so i can already tell it looks like all these little knots here are gonna work pretty good for putting my eyelids in so i'm gonna utilize those so that where i screw in my little eyes it actually gets some really good wood and it's not gonna be soft or anything like that so kind of putting this together in my brain as we go along handle grip here make sure it's on the right side of the problem i'm just gonna dig out a little flat area so that that grip actually sticks in there oh it's just about dialed there it's looking good nice and flat get a good surface to pull it tight too so all i'm gonna use to attach this just my good old 310 scott electrical tape i'm gonna try to get this about as tight as humanly possible on each side probably just make it all one little tape job here while i'm putting this on first so that i can line my eyes up correctly with how i want this thing sitting so first eye going on make sure that's nice and lined up got a nice flat surface for it now what would a christmas tree fishing pole be without some decoration the sleigh rider 5000 is complete let's go fishing oh they're rolling they want a gift too everybody's loving it guys so come on out we're gonna find ourselves a good anchor spot get set up in this lake and we're gonna put the old sleigh rider 5000 to work here she's out here bringing all the christmas cheer everybody around singing aloud let's go fishing we're getting our photo ops with our little boys and girls here on the dock bringing us all their christmas lists all that santa ever wanted was a trout so today santa's bait of choice is going to be some power eggs right off of the bottom this time of year santa notices that the fish like to go deep the water gets cold the lakes flip and these trout want to be all the way down on the bottom sitting next to their nice warm water waiting for santa to bring him a present santa's favorite present for trout is the old power egg these are garlic flavor let's catch a fish we got that right down to a swivel barrel swivel here down to three little slide weights and santa's gonna want some more weight to cast this rod so let's get our mojo going oh what do you know santa missed a guide oh ho ho ho even santa does it santa missed a guide oh look at that we're good the sleigh rider 5000 is in action everybody oh that's beauty she's a beauty all right guys this is gonna work good santa can tell by the way it is that this is gonna work now let's just find the trout you know the sad thing about christmas these days is there's so little spirit out there that santa has to row his own sleigh i'm thinking once we catch a fish on this christmas tree fishing pool there'll be enough christmas spirit for santa's sleigh to fly with his reindeer again so we're moving across the lake we're gonna try something a little bit different we can't our anchor's not long enough to reach the bottom in santa's sleigh because it's not quite equipped right so we're gonna let the wind blow us all the way across the lake throwing power bait right under the boat hopefully that'll work oh ho ho well everybody day one's coming to a close we tried really hard we've been out here for a few hours but we got a late start today so we're gonna get out here early in the morning give it our all and see if we can get a fish landed on the old sleigh rider 5000 so we're gonna load up the boat we're gonna go home get some food cooked and we'll be out here again full head of steam in the morning okay everybody santa's relocated day two and ho ho holy crap it's cold out here so we're gonna get in the boat we're gonna change tactics and we're gonna put the sleigh rider 5000 to its test and see if we can get some trout today i feel very confident in it how about you boys and friend so santa's selection today of choice is going to be in honor of his little else up there in the north pole this is the wee wiggle wart we're going to actually troll this around santa's going to push his own sleigh because you guys out there don't have enough christmas spirit to make his sleigh fly but hopefully the trout will and for just a little insurance policy for old santa here one of santa's favorite little helpers is mr pro cure trout and kokanee magic super gel i'm gonna put that right on the back of that little wee wiggle wart and some trout are gonna die okay so what santa's gonna do here i'm gonna put this wee wiggle wart just about probably 50 to 100 feet back behind the boat i'm gonna row my santa self remember this boys and girls this year santa's gonna need extra cookies next to the fireplace because he's been having to row around the lakes all day long and obviously he had to put a few extra notches in his belt this year but i'm going to put this rod the sleigh rider 5000 about 50 to 100 feet back behind the boat and i'm going to troll around just the edge of the lake to start go right from the edge to edge go do a big circle all the way around it then start cutting back and forth in between across the middle ho ho ho your boat gently across the lake keep your wiggler moving real fast and then you'll catch a giant oh just some more santa fans up here on the highway we're really drawing a crowd out here today but i'd love nothing more than spreading christmas cheer just about got the old sleigh rider 5000 ripped out of the boat here gonna keep it moving this thing's gonna follow it ho ho holy heck we got a bite on our hands everyone oh oh left rod's going off oh holy moly we got one on the on the conventional setup unfortunately this the sleigh rider just got hit and it went from the sleigh rider over here to the old celilo stick but this feels like a good one oh that's a nice one oh secret the secret color the brads wiggler strikes again ho ho there it is everybody an absolutely beautiful rainbow trout fell victim to the brads wiggler oh how wonderful he left it oh that was a good hit boys and girls that was a good hit about took the sleigh rider right out of the boat got the dog and everybody all worked up here he'll come back for it though i can smell it he wants to be a good little boy and be on santa's very loud oh everybody he's on there the sleigh rider got him oh it's huge it's a huge one on this there he is everybody there he is there he is on a festive color there he is on the sleigh rider look at that everybody if that don't bring holiday cheer you're not breathing look at that hog of a trout the sleigh rider's first fish oh boy that fish already had some junk in his mouth but we were able to tame him we were able to tame this giant who'd got away with the sleigh rider i feel like she had great action she performed just how we wanted it to and all in all it spreads christmas cheer for all to
