Keep going.
Sea lion.
Yep.
Go.
Go on reverse.
He's gonna spool us.
Circle.
He let it go.
Shh.

So we're excited about it.
Hopefully we're going to smash them.
We got James.
We got Mr. Kobe Kates.
And we got another special guest in the boat down here.
Well, you'll have to just wait to see who it is.
But today's going to be a good day.
Let's go smash some sand.
Where have you been?
You've been the ghost.
Clean.
Clean baits are fishy baits.
I mean.
Imperative.
Every day.
Ready to rip?
Shh.
Secret spot.
Kobe's secret spot.
Mango habanero.
We're going to do some light blue lava.
We're going to do some mango habanero.
We're going to do some rotten banana.
And with this weather here, we're going to do some poppers.
And some golds.
We're going to put it all in the mix today.
It's going to be a good day.
Oh, I like that action already.
So for the people out in TV land, that's the Astoria Bridge.
That's all I got to say about that.
Right here.
He popped the flasher.
We good.
We're on, baby.
Oh, he's fighting now.
He woke up.
Oh, he's gone.
No, he's still there.
He's still there.
The flasher missed me.
We don't want those kind.
We want them big, bright.
No extra fin.
We're in the land of the little ones.
We want the land of the giants.
Johnny Lava is getting it done today.
See you later, Suki.
What's up, man?
To everybody else, this is Fish Farm.
But to you and I and all the people on the other side of that screen, this is Dr. Coby Cates.
Oh, man.
Actual doctor.
Right?
Passed the test, the whole bit, all the classes.
He's a pharmacist during the day.
So, company name, Fish Farm.
We're out here trying to make it happen.
Making it happen.
Dr. Coby Cates.
In the house.
Back rod.
Back rod's on.
He's there.
Who wants it?
Get him.
It's you.
It's not you.
Or a little tiny snook.
It's hard to say.
Oh.
That's what happens when we don't respect the fish and we call him just a little fish.
Oh, it's just a little guy.
I always tell clients, keep pressure on it.
And I'm sure the instant replay will show you.
I didn't keep pressure on it.
You want to just bounce it?
Oh.
My bad on that.
I'm going to ask people in TV land.
Scott, what's your top three, just overall in a general, if you're fishing 360's,
what's your top three proud OG's?
El Diablo.
Hot Tamale.
Yeah, but I rename everything.
I always just rename it.
You guys know the Blurple Wobbler?
It's not even called the Blurple.
We just, we officially renamed it.
It is Blurple.
We renamed it.
It's like Kylie's Tigers.
But is that what it's true name is?
Kylie's Tiger.
But I always rename things.
So yes, El Diablo.
El Diablo.
Hot Tamale.
You got me on El Diablo.
And Seahawk.
Those three, all day long.
Any fishery, doesn't matter where you're at, those will catch everywhere.
Rotten Banana.
Dusky.
But if I'm going to go full copper, I would go, yeah, El Diablo.
An honorary mention.
Rocky Road.
Netzel, dude.
Oh, the Netzel.
That's got to get an honorary mention.
But I tell you what.
So now, if you're talking down here, right now.
Without a doubt.
Except take this thing off there.
Do not fish it with that.
Because that just looks awful.
I don't care what it looks like.
It crushes.
That is hot pants.
Oh, Crusher 50,000, dude.
This one's coming.
Middle rod.
Oh, come on.
It's there.
Right there.
Marred rod, baby.
Oh, yeah.
Man, that one just really played with our emotions for a long time, guys.
What do you got?
What do you got, Marlin?
Oh, it's a Times Rider.
Oh, God.
He's pissed.
If this thing doesn't have a fin, this is the one we want.
He looks pinned, but he is just wrecking.
Okay, get ready.
Okay, try again.
I don't think so.
Nice.
Oh, it does.
Darn it.
Man, that is a nice one, though, guys.
Beautiful fish.
Awesome fight.
You know, I think sometimes people get a little negative about, oh, you can't kill him.
But it's like, man, how fun is that?
Like, we all love to catch fish, and that thing just absolutely wrecked me.
There he is, guys.
Beautiful fish.
Upriver Bright, unfortunately, he's got that little fin right there, so he's going to swim.
See you, buddy.
We move places, and we're going to rip some lips, baby.
What's our numbers down, big dog?
Why don't we have you go to 20 on that guy, and then 25 on this other one?
So, I like running three singles.
I either use the 4 or 3-0 must-add addicted hooks.
These have done really good for me in the past.
Make sure they're all crimped.
But this hook configuration, one, if you have to release fish and you have a treble,
it's just a pain to get them out, especially you get the coho in the net,
and the treble gets caught in the net.
So, it's just nice having the three singles.
It seems to pin the fish pretty good as well.
Leader length, I run anywhere between 28 and 36 inches.
I have it on 50-pound Max Molotr Green.
I will say, also, I just run the one bead, and then just make sure that back hook
is farther back than the butt.
That way, when it spins, it doesn't actually hit it.
I'm gonna put out in here, baby.
Got those bites in hand.
Fish, fish, fish!
I have a feeling it's probably a trout.
I have a good feeling about this one.
Turn you up, dude!
How does it feel?
Dude, it feels so good.
Like you take people fishing, and now you actually get to enjoy.
It's a really nice fish.
Yeah, baby!
All right, we've got a ripper.
Call that the pepperoni bite.
I haven't had to break out the watermelon yet.
That was just pepperoni.
So, it was one of those examples of trying different colors.
I just put this on Rocky Road.
It's one that we didn't have in the mix, but I had it on my leader board.
Decided to put it up.
Yeah, I hadn't been out there too long, and it's working.
It feels a little...
Snooky?
Oh, snooky!
That is the question.
Oh, it's a chroma.
It's a snooky.
It's a platinum.
And he's gone.
And he gone.
Rocky Road, old school with the beads.
We're on, baby!
Oh, what do we got?
I might have to go to that side.
If we turn, we're good.
Nope, nope, it's under.
It's under.
Is there another fish on?
No, it's right here, though.
No, I think you have a fish on, Scott.
James, you got to go over Scott.
Yo-ho!
Scott, you have one?
Yeah.
Good call, buddy!
Double!
Double trouble!
Right over here.
Oh!
And he's right off, right there.
Yeah, that was a little short, anyway.
On the triple, eh?
Back rod!
Good turn!
A little yo-ho.
What do you want?
Cap.
Oh, you pop off.
Gone!
Marlon, you take that.
That's a chinook.
That sure looks chinook-y, huh?
Oh, sorry.
Those are some pretty violent head shakes in the beginning, yeah?
Ready?
I'm going to try.
And under!
That's a really nice coho.
We're upgrading.
Oh, man, we got to let this one go right here, but look at that.
Long-tail sea lice.
Or as Jason would like to call them, freshness stickers.
Alright, baby.
Still there, James?
Oh, yeah.
I don't know what he's at.
Connor's not working.
But we're getting on him.
Not a lot of head shakes.
Oh, it's another yo-ho.
Wow.
Looks like it.
See y'all.
We're busting that out already?
Is it time?
I don't think so.
Good question.
That's like when fishing's tough and we need a bite.
I mean, if y'all bust out, what were the ones that you were seeing yesterday?
Hey, you want to hear something crazy, though?
This guy doesn't like watermelon.
But I ate one yesterday.
This guy doesn't like?
Have you ever heard anyone?
But I ate one yesterday for the team.
Didn't work, though.
Because your energy was against watermelon.
If Scott's busting out, I'm having a ceremonial watermelon.
I'm telling you.
I'll do it.
That's an exact one.
That was the one watermelon was going to take.
What's this one called?
What were you calling them yesterday, though?
The Hermes watermelon was the best, by far.
For the people?
One bite only?
One bite, everyone knows the rules.
One bite, everyone knows the rules?
Tastes like a watermelon.
John, we're live again, baby.
See ya.
Oh, it's getting some weight now.
Hey, I took one for the team and I hooked ya.
We're getting frosty, baby.
Oh!
That's a good size one there.
Coming right at me.
You ready?
Bam, baby!
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
That's definitely a coho, though.
Fire, baby.
This thing's on fire.
God!
I might be a believer in the watermelon bite now.
Watch this magic happen.
Scott's going to land a 30-pounder.
I can feel it.
And I'm going to say, I told you so.
Do we have a fish on?
Yeah, right there.
Right there.
That one's on.
Right here.
Get him.
Told you.
I told you.
Where's he at, Scott?
I don't think it's a small fish.
What did I say?
Put the rod in the holder.
It's a 30-pounder, Scott.
Here you go.
Oh, okay.
That's it.
Oh.
He just keeps swimming towards the boat, dude.
You got one on?
We got one on.
What do you got going on, Scott?
Holy cow.
Look at that wild mark on its face, dude.
The kitchen is open and the dinner bells are ringing, baby.
Oh.
It's about as picture perfect as they get right there.
Blue top.
Fish, fish, fish.
Fish, Sean.
Sean, grab that rod.
Here, I'll grab your camera.
Sean's on, baby.
Oh, Sean.
Yeah.
Double Diablo.
Double Diablo, baby.
Heavy.
The bucket is starting to fill.
I wouldn't even net him.
Oh, yeah.
Here we go, here we go.
Double!
No, he's gone.
Fish, fish, fish.
Yep, yep, yep, yep.
Fish on.
Strawberry bite, strawberry bite.
That was a strawberry bite, boy.
That's a nice one.
Dude, another nice co.
We're getting late in the season now.
We're in late August, so we're starting to see a lot of these co, which is really exciting.
Sure are.
It's really exciting.
How long have you been down here?
Oh, man.
I mean, I started guiding down here the first of August, but just intermittently.
I don't know.
I have ten more days down here or whatever, so it's been good.
Finally having some co action.
The kings today have all been wild, but that's okay.
Yeah, you're on, you're on, you're on.
They were on the back rod, I told you.
Uh-oh.
Yeah, me too.
This thing's got some power, boy.
He's on.
Feline.
Yep, go.
Go on reverse.
He's going to spool us.
Hey, get that net ready.
Circle.
He let it go, he let it go, he let it go.
Oh, it broke, I think.
He got it.
That thing was giant, dude.
That one that had it, though, was big.
Oh, yeah.
You got a hatchery fish, Kobe?
A hatchery?
Oh.
I didn't think they made such a creature, but apparently they do.
So, guys, this is one that we consider throwing back because it could be tooly-ish.
But it's starting to bleed, and so we're going to keep it at that point.
That'll go against our limit, and it was a heck of a good fight.
Sean's on.
You know it's a good day when Sean is on.
We're having a great day when Sean is on.
To the right.
Hey, nice job, buddy.
Nice, buddy.
Sean getting it done.
Dr. Kobe Cates getting it done.
Brad Superbait's getting it done.
Addicted to getting it done.
I say, we're done.
Go home.
Right here, baby.
Scott.
Yes, sir.
Give it to me.
Marlon wanted me to confess one of my sins.
Oh, God.
This should be good.
I dropped the mic into the water at the dock.
You dropped the mic?
Yeah, the lav mic is laying in the West Basin Marina,
and I just figured he ought to call and tell you
because he's had a streak of dropping things,
so we need to figure out how we can fix it.
It's not good.
It's not good, but I had to confess.
Do not ever, like, rock your child from the dock.
How much were those spare keys worth to you?
Probably a couple hundred bucks?
There's a couple hundred.
There's a couple hundred plus the phone.
That's twelve.
That's fourteen hundred.
How much was that lav, Marlon?
Four hundred.
Oh, okay.
So about sixteen hundred.
Sixteen hundred bucks, dude.
It's not bad.
Yeah.
That's not bad.
Not bad.
Throw an addicted filet knife in there and ----.
Yeah, because Ryan lost an addicted filet knife,
so there's a couple hundred bucks.
Yeah, we're up on the season.
All right.
Appreciate you.
All right.
Later, dude.
Cheers.
This is fire, dude.
I'm subbing in for Marlon.
He's driving.
I'm doing the outro.
Little bow picker.
Great day on the water.
Like, subscribe, comment.
We'll see you on the river.
Stay frosty.
