Nisrat Gokce, better known as South Bay, pissed off the football community with his behavior at
the World Cup final. What was it with the famous chef's behavior that got Lee Messi, other players
and fans around the world so outraged? We are gonna explain the matter in this episode.
If by some miracle you still haven't heard about this story, South Bay somehow made his way onto
the pitch after the World Cup ceremony and proceeded to blazingly annoy football players,
take pictures with the World Cup trophy and kiss it. To speak facts, according to FIFA rules,
only World Cup winners and heads of state are allowed to touch the trophy in the World Cup
ceremony. That is, what Mr. Nisrat did actually violate not only behavioral norms, but also the
official rules. But come on, we are talking about FIFA. No need to be surprised, we have already
seen similar scenarios before. Argentina representatives were obviously not happy
with this man's presence. Angel Di Maria cringes, while Lissandro Martinez shows almost disgust on
his face. Moreover, South Bay took the cup from Romero's child and blatantly enjoyed the process.
By far, the chef's most outrageous decision was to catch up to Lee Messi. At first, he pestered
him and demanded attention to himself, although Leo was clearly busy with other things.
The Argentine's face read. If these two were not under the spotlight, but in a dark alley of the
Buenos Aires ghetto, the man would totally regret his actions. Angry fans wrote online that Messi
deserved another World Cup for ignoring South Bay. Nevertheless, Nisrat still got his way,
taking a picture with Leo. FIFA responded by announcing an investigation into how this could
have happened in the first place. Well, good luck to them, because it will be difficult not to
expose themselves during a thorough search for answers. Mr. Nisrat could not invade the pitch
himself, he was allowed to go for it. And… whoops! That leads us to FIFA, the tournament's organizer.
Another portion of cringe stuff came from Gianni Infantino, who headhugged and showered the chef
with compliments earlier on. For instance, he said, Mr. Nisrat, number one, the best of the best,
legend, he's a legend, legend number one, thank you very much.
Following a huge wave of criticism, Infantino unfollowed South Bay on Instagram.
How do you like such powerful sanctions? We would not have survived them and just died in agony,
that's for sure. Needless to say, FIFA once again showed itself as a shameful and corrupt
organization that should not exist. So, the incident was only the tip of the overall iceberg,
which the public reacted strongly to because of its blatant pomposity. Believe it or not,
but there were funny internet posts which dwelled upon justifying South Bay's actions,
as it was footballers who came to his restaurant and took photos in the first place. However,
Liam Massey didn't run on stage and didn't take the trophy for the best chef of the year
from anybody. You see, that's the difference. By and large, South Bay can only partially
take blame in this case, as he can only be slammed for the incredible arrogance that angered everyone
both on the pitch and online. He probably decided he could do anything he wanted after sitting in
the VIP box alongside Cafu, Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos, after taking a photo with Elon Musk,
after Infantino began to introduce him to various high-ranking officials behind the scenes,
one of whom was even the King of Malaysia. South Bay paid for his behavior with harsh
criticism from the audience, including his Instagram page, and also faced sanctions
eventually getting banned from attending the US Open Cup. Well, at least something for the record.
