This is how BARCELONA shocked REAL MADRID at Bernabeu: 5 things we have learned from El Clasico

After the October loss, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid in El Clasico the second time around, bringing their Capital Re dreams much closer. Today we are kicking off a new series on the Football Club channel called 5 Things We Have Learned. The rules are simple, it can be any big game at your request with a brief 5-point analysis. So, let's get it started with El Clasico. Make sure to drop a thumbs up and subscribe. Your active participation and views will guarantee the top-notch stuff from us. Let's go! Barcelona had an amazing game. And yes, you heard that right. On that night, we saw a very unusual Barça that had only 35.3% of possession overall, which is truly shocking and unthinkable for cul-de-sac. We did not betray our style, the rival forced us to play this way. Sometimes you have to defend, Xavi said in a post-match interview. Barcelona had an outstanding performance when talking about their defensive display. The best example of this is the following. Real Madrid failed to have a shot on goal in a home match for the first time since 2010. And more importantly, it happened at the time when Barcelona had some personnel issues in defense, as Christensen suffered an injury just one day before the game. Hence, Marco Zalonza was the man to brilliantly replace him, along with Koundé creating a center-back duo, so that Aroujo could have a free hand and go to the right side with his main mission. To mark and destroy Vinicius once again. This is Xavi's idea to intentionally send the Uruguayan defender to a right-back position, making him play face-to-face against Vini Jr. worked for the second time in a row. Las Blancas attacking leader lost the ball 24 times and generally looked really nervous, constantly seeing Ronald's shadow pursuing the Brazilian wherever he goes. We all know that Vinicius has spectacular quality, but I worked hard to play this match and things went my way. This is how a modest man Aroujo explained his success in this game. Well, the world media signs the praises asking the following question. Is there a better defender in the world right now than Ronald Aroujo? By the way, it was only his second game at Santiago Bernabeu and he is slowly becoming a real nightmare of this legendary venue. In other words, it really wasn't Vinicius' day at all. Their rivalry looks something like this right now. Today we saw why so many clubs want Frenkie de Jong, Jordi Cruyff claimed after the game. Barca had a hard time playing without the ball and it was Frenkie who managed to handle the rhythm of the match, giving a chance to take a break for Barca defense and meanwhile completing some brilliant take-ons against Real Madrid players. His performance against Real Madrid was noticed by the leading statistical platforms as Barcelona fans are finally starting to recognize the giant impact the Dutchman has, something we didn't see before. Here's what they are saying now. Frenkie de Jong is one of the best midfielders in the world right now. Another immense performance. And in fact, it's hard to disagree with this. Frenkie Sierra is finding it very difficult to adapt at Barcelona as he was on the verge of leaving camp now as early as January. But in the game at Santiago Bernabeu, the 26-year-old Ivorian made a powerful statement in front of Xavi, the fans and the Barca board. As a matter of fact, he was among the best players having an opportunity to score two goals. The first one, which was eventually counted as Militao's own goal, and another big chance in the second half when Ansu Fati's sloppy moves in front of the goal prevented Kassia from scoring his perfect goal. You can't be criticized after such a performance. Well done, Frenkie Sierra. And the last point of our brief overview is Real Madrid's response to the home defeat. In truth, it turned out to be a bit arrogant. Let's have a look at what Real Madrid's side said after the game. This goal was an accident. We were the best side, Luka Modric said. Barcelona didn't deserve this victory, it's obvious, Carlo Ancelotti admitted. They won, but perhaps they didn't deserve it, Thibaut Courtois. Although Real Madrid had the initiative, it doesn't matter anymore as the score is final. Barcelona emerged victorious in the first leg with the second match taking place on April 5th. Friends, who do you think will make it to the finals? Let us know your predictions in the comments below. And we would like to conclude it with the following quote. FC Barcelona are the only side that isn't scared of the Bernabeu. Real Madrid fear them. We hope you'll support this video by hitting the like button and won't forget to subscribe to our channel.
