AI GeneratedThe Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears provide key injury updates ahead of their Monday night game. The Eagles see a boost with the potential return of Jonathan Vic}}{(Granard)} and Zach Ertz, while the Bears will be without star quarterback Caleb Williams, likely starting Tyson Bagent instead. Despite the quarterback change, the Eagles remain favorites to win.
The Eagles give and get multiple key injury updates ahead of their week three Monday night
clash versus the Chicago Bears. This has serious implications for the Philadelphia Eagles. I'm
your host Colin Kelley. Welcome to Eagles Digest. In today's video, we're going to react to the
Saturday ahead of Monday injury report for both the Eagles and their opponent, the Bears,
and why the complexion of this game has all of a sudden changed. But before we do,
subscribe to join the most passionately informed community of Eagles fans. It's free after all,
69% of you not subscribed. We're so close, less than 100 to 2,500 subs. When we think about
the Philadelphia Eagles, the great news that they were able to give fans ahead of this game,
you look at, unfortunately, Hollywood Brown Fred Johnson, not going to play, they are out.
We know Dallas Goddard dealing with the injury in the gonna miss a couple games.
Will Shipley was limited but does not carry a designation. Nor does Tank Bixby, fellow
running back and fellow running back, Saquon Barkley. Both fully participating on Saturday's
practice. Jalen Carter, full participant with the wrist. Drew McCuba, Devante Smith,
as well. Tyler Steen with the shoulder. He is good to go. But notably, Jonathan Granard
was a full participant in practice. This is the first time he has fully participated on the injury
report. This is the first time compared to the first two weeks, where it was a Friday ahead of
Sunday. That same type of buffer a Saturday ahead of a Monday. He carries a questionable designation
for the Philadelphia Eagles. That is huge. Jonathan Granard, even if it's just a limited
capacity, him playing really changed the complexion of the Philadelphia Eagles defensive line,
their ability to get after the quarterback, a new quarterback. Interestingly enough,
then maybe we would have thought with the Bears. Look, we know that Caleb Williams,
the really exaggerated, not trying to make light, he had a severe injury. The end of week two,
people thought it was going to be a multi potential season ending level injury. There
was speculation about the start of this week. Could he play with the hamstring? He is going to
be out to be expected. You've got Noah Sewell, Shamar Turner out as well. Notably, key players
like a Grady Jarrett, Kyle Mnungai, the kicker, Kyra Santos, Tyreek Stevenson, Joe Tooney,
fully participating on Saturday. No designation. But who does have a designation? It's one Tyson
Bajan. Notably, up to this point, it was thought that Case Keenum was likely going to be the
starting quarterback for the Bears. So with Tyson Bajan, looking like he cleared the protocol
via Adam Schefter, or did he clear the protocol? You look at the update to the Tyson Bajan
situation. He has passed enough steps and in the phases of the concussion protocol
to practice in a limited capacity, or full depending on how you look at it. He was able
to practice. He still has to be cleared, but all signs point to Tyson Bajan being healthy to play
to start against the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, all that to say, when you look at the market,
the odds for this Eagles-Bears-Monday Night Clash. Eagles, as a result of this Bajan news,
trending down a little bit. 63% chance to win versus Chicago Bears in the beauty of
Cali. Thank you for sponsoring today's video. You're trading directly against other users,
not the house like traditional sports books. You're buying yes or no contracts on the outcome
of specific events related to politics, weather markets, but of course sports like your Philadelphia
Eagles. And when you look at a $25 yes trade, which at the end of the day, no Caleb Williams,
I think is a massive advantage, whether it's Bajan or Case Keenum, a $25 yes trade for your
birds to win pays out 38.9 cents. If you are interested in Cali, signing up using the link

instantly when you trade your first 25. When you think about the Philadelphia Eagles,
what they have to potentially face in one Tyson Bajan. You had Bears head coach Ben Johnson have
this to say, different skill set as far as Tyson Bajan versus Case Keenum. One guy's a bit more
mobile. Both are cerebral. They'll be mentally prepared. Johnson went on to say though, there's
a reason Tyson Bajan was the backup as they ended camp. We felt good about who he is as a player,
what can bring them to the offense. If he's healthy, Bajan will be the one. If he is clear,
he will be the one to go. All signs point to that him being given that green light
in the concussion protocol to play Monday night. Now, as I said, I know Caleb Williams for me,
that's the threshold. That's the that's the big difference whether it's Bajan versus Case Keenum.
All right. Sure, it's the more mobile quarterback. But notably, the Eagles getting back potentially
Jonathan Granard to make his debut is incredibly significant in dealing with any potential Bears
quarterback. You look at Snick Sirianni had glowing things to say about one Jonathan Granard
when asked about him. Long story short, really enjoyed being around him. The leadership that
he's brought, worked his butt off to be able to get back here as soon as possible excited to have
the leadership. I've seen him show when he's not playing, but imagine that impact when he is
playing, especially when you think about this Eagles young defensive line, relatively speaking
with Jalex Hunt, with a one Nolan Smith. There's a lot to be excited about. In terms of Jonathan
Granard, his impact, you had courtesy of Johnny McGonigal of PennLive. Jonathan Granard, pretty
optimistic that he'll play on Monday and make his debut up to set us up to the medical staff,
the coaching staff, right. But as far as Granard, he himself, I'm ready to go for sure. That's all
we as Eagles fans can hope Jonathan Granard the headline acquisition to make his debut.
Even when we know it'll be on a limited snap count, as a pass rusher, third down specialist,
he can really make an impact for this Philadelphia Eagles defense. When you think about though,
this Philadelphia Eagles offense, getting a potential difference maker. How about Zach
The reunion, the looming debut, this season, for one Zach Ertz. Jeff McLean, on the beat,
had this to say, Zach Ertz felt great, did everything he could to be ready to play ahead
of this Monday night matchup. Like Jonathan Granard, it's ultimately up to the coaches
and the training staff if he is active, but I really think he's going to be active. When you
think about one, Sean Mannion, what he's looking to get out of this Eagles offense,
how he can really involve tight ends. We know Dallas Goddard, a great start to the season.
Unfortunately, the injury, we know Stowers on the IR. Someone has to be able to come into that
tight end room to give Jalen Hurts a security blanket, just another option. I think that's
exactly what Zach Ertz is going to be able to do. Even if he's well past his prime, 35, hasn't
played yet this season. There's just plenty enough there for me to give him a go. Like Granard,
even if it's in a limited capacity. And when you look at just how critical a Zach Ertz could be.
Also, though, notably, Devontae Smith, fully healthy, or relatively good to go,
full participant in practice, as was Saquon Barkley ahead of this Monday night contest.
The Eagles, their offense, led by one Jalen Hurts in conjunction with Sean Mannion.
This is a huge opportunity. You look at the Bears defense. They are about average points per game.
But in terms of opponent yards per game, bottom seven in the NFL. You look at opponent's yards
per play. Third last 6.4. We know the Eagles offense has had some struggles as far as early
downs. This is a Bears defense that notably gave up a ton against the Carolina Panthers. Week one,
a little bit less in terms of week two. But this Eagles, the talent of this Eagles offense,
another week where you get a Cam Juergens, that left guard, Drew Kendall at center,
that relationship. I think it's going to be critical. The Eagles, without a doubt,
are well positioned ahead of this Monday night matchup. First, the Chicago Bears, who, on surface,
I thought were going to be one of the more challenging games for this filled-up Eagles
team, not to discount things, but without their star quarterback. The Eagles have to take advantage.
I want to hear from you guys, though, as always, how confident are you in the Birds ahead of this
game? But specifically, when you think about the defense with a potential Jonathan Renard,
with them on the hunt for their first turnover, I want to hear your prediction. Do you think the
Eagles, their defense, force the first turnover of this season? Yes or no down below? I'm going to go
yes. I really think the Eagles, whether it's likely Tyson Bajent, there's just going to be
too much. They're going to be up for this game. They're not going to take it lightly, even if it's
a backup, even when we know it's going to be a backup quarterback. Guys, as always, have a great
one. Go Birds!
