Tilly was used for overbreeding
and then she was dumped, just abandoned.
She's had numerous litters of puppies.
We have no idea how long she was out there by herself.
It's pretty sad to think about the possibilities
of what she could have been dealing with.
She was found by animal control.
My mom started fostering her
and then the animal shelter was calling her saying,
all right, it's time to get Tilly back into the shelter
to get adopted.
And me and my boyfriend were visiting my mom at the time.
And we were just like, we have to take her.
She's ours.
She completely took over and we were just like,
this is our dog, this is the one.
Every once in a while, she'll get a little spurt of energy
and she'll just start zooming around the house
or if we're walking her, we'll take the leash off
in like our little field we have outside
and she'll just randomly like start darting around.
Come on, Tilly.
We try to take her everywhere we possibly can.
As soon as we wake up in the morning,
we bought her some stairs to go up to our bed
and she'll come right up, she'll lay in between us.
We took Tilly on her first dog park adventure the other day
And she started out a little timid, kept to herself a lot.
She was sniffing the grass over in the corner.
And then finally, she started warming up.
She started coming over to me and my friends.
So she started with the humans, getting used to them.
And then as soon as the other dogs started to see her come over,
they were as if it was like they were inviting her to come play.
And they just all started jumping around and running.
It was the cutest thing to see her come out
of her shell and warm up to everybody.
She is a bullet.
She's crazy fast.
We just have to be careful because, you know,
she has that bully, like, Frenchy kind of face.
So, she gets really worked up super fast and can't breathe the best.
But she's fast.
And she's like a freight train.
She will not slow down.
She will run right through you.
It is hilarious.
Tilly, drop it.
I didn't realize that I wanted a dog until I got her.
And I act like she came from me.
Like, I birthed her myself.
She has the most beautiful, big, brown, orangey-looking eyes.
She is so pretty.
I've never seen a dog like her.
Her skin is still a work in progress.
When my mom started fostering her, she had barely any hair.
And her skin was super dry.
It looked like she had mange.
And just as time has progressed and we've changed her diet,
we've given her a lot of fish.
And that seemed to help tremendously.
It's honestly just so heartwarming to be a part of her journey.
Like, just knowing that she could have come from absolutely nothing,
being locked in a crate
and just kept to have babies to going on a boat going outside and just
running around it's just really heartwarming even
though she's like a young adult she'll
still have those little cute puppy spurts of energy
and it's just super exciting to
see her you know get to do all these adventures
and stuff she's probably never done
