Ciao ragazzi! Where we are today? In North Carolina! And do you know why? What are we gonna do? We're
gonna eat barbecue! North Carolina is supposed to be super famous for their barbecue. They say
they heat different so... And when we did our Tennessee barbecue we had a lot of comments that
said oh well that's not anything like North Carolina barbecue. So now we're gonna we are here
for you guys and see if it's true what you say. Then it's gonna be Texas later on. So let's see
what the hype is about. North Carolina! Let's go eat it! Are you excited? Super excited! Let's go!
Okay we ordered. We just ordered way too much.
We ordered. So obviously we had to get the Carolina pulled pork and then we got the beef brisket. We
got burnt ends which he recommended and then we got the pork ribs and they're having a special
only on the weekends. We're just lucky that we're here. It's this big beef rib. He said it's the
size of your forearm. Oh really? And has a pound of meat on it. We'll see. Plus the sides. I'm scared. So we got sides. We got collard greens which is some of the vinegar-based
collard greens, coleslaw, hush puppies, macaroni and cheese, baked beans. We got all the stuff.
We got it all. We ordered for one person and we're dividing two. We need to explain that too.
We're sharing it all. Sharing. We're sharing. We'll see when it comes out. Yep. I'm excited to see if the pulled pork
is what they say it is. Yes because here I think is the number one. I think so. Because they,
what I heard, okay don't get me wrong, I heard the brisket are more Texas vibes. Yeah. From Carolina.
The pork it is more their side. Right. So it is like yeah we have a mix between Texas and North Carolina.
But if we're in North Carolina they shouldn't mess up the pork. Yeah exactly. So we just ask what is
this two sauce. Do you want to explain? Yes. So he said this one is a North Carolina style sauce. So it has
a vinegar base. Yes. And then this is just their regular barbecue sauce that has like a tomato mix.
Oh wow. So I've heard a lot about this and I've never had anything like this. So I'm excited.
And where do you put it at? In the salad? I think, no on the barbecue. The vinegar? Yes. In the barbecue?
Not on the salad. You have so much to learn. Before adding in my best barbecue I need to taste it.
It's vinegar. Yeah. How this can make good barbecue? I don't know we're gonna have to see.
Try the barbecue sauce one. Wow spicy vinegar. Oh wow this goes to the barbecue.
You're already going to disappoint everybody from North Carolina watching.
How do you call the people from North Carolina? North Carolinas?
Carolinas. Carolinas. I think. Caroline.
What do you put in your barbecue? Here I am the judge. I am the judge. Don't you Carolinas?
Let's see. So these are pork ribs St. Louis style.
My life is this barbecue. This is amazing. It's a new style. But done well.
So juicy. The meat is so tender. We came here for the pork right? Right. So first try it by itself.
And then later with the sandwich. No with the sauce.
I'm not gonna ruin it. That's what it's designed for. That's what they're famous for.
What are you talking about? It's different from Tennessee. Really? It's eating different.
I'm surprised. I thought it would be the same thing. Let me try.
Maybe you overdid it. You did too much. It's not fitting. Let me try. I know better than you.
I know. I know better. We take over here. All right. So okay. First of all I do need to see
if it's different by itself. I want to know what. It looks different than what we have.
I'm gonna give my score today. And I don't want to give the score right now.
I like it. But you're right. It's very different. A little bit of vinegar.
Sorry. I'm eating my hair. This is gonna go up. It's part of the barbecue.
I think the vinegar sauce elevates it. I think it adds something. I think you put too much sauce.
You put like a whole tablespoon on top. I don't know. It definitely adds something. We are fighting
the flies here. Yeah because we decided to eat outside. Yeah. But I like it. But it's different
than Tennessee. It's different than Tennessee. And I'm not sure if I like it more. I'll tell you my
Tennessee is better. Oh people are gonna be mad. I guess you come in Tennessee. Tennessee is better.
I give up four of the ten. Shoot. What about the rib?
I will give you a seven of the ten. Okay. For now Tennessee is beating them. Okay. Let's see the burnt
ends. Okay. These are the burnt ends. They look amazing. It's some kind of brisket. Like the burnt
end of the brisket I think. Yeah. Barbecue in North Carolina is hitting different. Yeah.
It's hitting different? Is that like a good different or a bad different? I don't know. Oh no.
I already know that you're not gonna like it. Really? Yeah because it's squishy.
It's not so bad. No I like it actually. You like it? Yeah. I'd say I like it better than the pulled
pork. Oh. So this is your favorite? Okay brisket next. Brisket. This I think is your favorite
type of barbecue overall right? The brisket yeah. So what do you think? They are good
but they resist your feeling. Really? Oh my gosh. I was actually come expecting to come here and be
blown away but Tennessee is holding strong. Holding really strong. It's a really juicy
piece of brisket guys. A little squishier than I usually like. You know I'm sensitive about the
texture. It's a little fatty for me. I think I'm gonna stick with my ribs. You steal the ribs.
Just to make sure one more test of the pulled pork. Just so I give him every chance possible.
I'm sorry guys. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't know. I can only be honest. Yeah.
Should we try some sides? Because this macaroni looks incredible. Shells. Look at that. Extra
cheese inside the noodles. Yeah. Ready? Comment. Boom. That's good. That's saving the pulled pork.
Excellent right? Excellent. And the beans with some meat inside. What is that? I think so.
This is delicious Amore. Okay so the sides are winning. It's delicious. Try. Definitely
a barbecue or something. I don't know. They're amazing huh? Okay those are way better than the
ones that we had in Tennessee. Yeah that is way better. So far the sides are better. They're top.
They're top. Coleslaw. Coleslaw. I'm a big fan of coleslaw so I'm super picky. Here we go.
They got it. Delicious. And then they go ahead. Then we've got the vinegar. Oh wow. Big leaves.
I'm used to it being like really really small. Okay ready? Yeah.
That vinegar. Strong but delicious. Super strong. I'm giving the sides a 10 out of 10. Oh wow. Yeah.
Yeah but even Tennessee do that. I know it's good but it's like I'm not saying it's better
than Tennessee the coleslaw. The beans and the macaroni I thought are better but. Let's see.
I don't feel vinegar. You know what Amore? You're gonna add vinegar?
Extra. Extra. Extra vinegar. How is it? Does the sauce go well? Too much?
From Italy I say yes. I love them. I think they nailed the sides. Wait you've got green in your teeth.
Ew ew gross. Now it's time. It's time. Oh my gosh it's gonna fall. So this is definitely not
North Carolina authentic but it was a special today so we had to get it. Yeah.
Really? This is real. That's amazing. This is a barbecue. That's why they make it a special.
Look at that. It's melty. It's melty. I'm not gonna pick it up. No. I'm gonna be a little bit
more polite. Civilization. Yeah. I don't know if this is for me. Bye bye. Not bad right? No.
It's delicious but it's not for you. It's not for me. It's too much but it's delicious. I'll be
honest and say it's delicious. So tell me what's different between this and what we had in Tennessee
because I agree with you there is something different but I can't quite put my finger on
what it is. I don't know how I have to explain but I think at the Tennessee barbecue it is really good.
A lot of people undervalue. You're right they put everybody above us and it's not fair. It's not fair.
And you what do you think? I agree with you. Honestly for me out of everything that I ate the
best is the St. Louis style ribs. So it's North Carolina. Yeah. But they did a really good job
with them. The pulled pork which is supposed to be North Carolina specialty. I don't know if I'm
used to it being prepared in a different way but for me it was really like chewy. Chewy. It's good
again. I like it but it's not like whoa amazing best thing I've ever eaten in my life. Yeah and
I wanted to say this location is recommended for a lot of people from North Carolina. Exactly
but I will say I'm really happy with the sides. I'm really happy overall. It's been a good meal.
It's a good meal. So I still think it's good but I'm not putting it at the top guys. I'm sorry. Yeah.
I'm thinking a seven. I give it a seven also. It's good. It's good but it's not hitting on the top of
the list like what's Tennessee for me a 10. I agree. It's not a seven. It's a bad score so don't
be upset. I already know it. I already know it but it is what it is. It is what it is. So seven.
