Using a tumbler which was kindly loaned to me by a great friend to clean up some of the metal detecting finds from my infamous 'Bag of shame'. There are the finds which won't make a collection due to their corroded / crusty condition but are good to see cleaned up. Even thickly crusted old copper coins can be brought back to something readable using the tumbler / barrelling machine. The finds in this video were in the machine for approx. 7-8 hours and the results are quite impressive with even the post 1947 half crown and florins losing all of their familiar orange corrosion which they all show after being buried in soil. With a bit of polishing they could maybe have a half decent silver appearance which would be a real result as anyone who detecting the UK will know they are always knackered when they are dug up. Even the really old copper coins which are battered and sill don't show useful detail can be polished up on a buffer wheel and given away to children as 'Pirate coins' which they think is great. I will show that process in a later video. Thanks for watching and appreciating this latest video and I hope to get out soon for another detecting video - If only I didn't have to work I could bring you a detecting video every day as I've still got loads of sites I haven't even touched yet but unfortunately it messes with everything I'd rather be doing, lol Best of luck in al your hunts and thanks for the awesome support from the worldwide metal detecting community. Hello, no, this isn't another video detecting one,
It's about detecting.
In my first video, which was named
Metal Detector Finds Gold, Silver, and a Satanic Goat
I've shown you a glass or tumbler.
It keeps getting a lot of green on it.
Felly, I'm going to do it, I'm going to
Check a bit more stuff in there
I'm leaving the book with you for now.
These are some of the stiff books that have been given to be placed inside.
I need to add a bit more of them in.
There's a little bit there. It has received a small amount of
I'll go and put the top on you after I've washed the water there
I wouldn't mind a bit of bacon on it while I'm at it.
Alright, I'm doing this in my spare time because as
You can hear it's a very common process. So I will
I'll do this when I get back tomorrow.
The stuff inside has been disturbed, and I'm going to
We are going to succeed.
A chael edrych i weld beth rydyn ni wedi cael.
I know there are some coins there. During that time,
I don't know. Gary also put something in there.
Allan, my friend, you're a bit off your head.
I haven't looked at that before I added more
Oh, I don't know what to do, so I'm not being honest about knowing
I'm here. It would have been truly remarkable to discover.
Drive on this route.
What I'm going to do is put that out there
through the silence where there is no room for any child, I do not feel
I don't want to know what we've received
That looks extremely suspicious.
I'm going to put it under the tap, just in case.
Wow, it looks really good. I like looking at this.
Let us look ahead at what is here.
In fact, I can see there being quite a few interesting things here.
That is a copper coin.
They're still getting a little bit of relief from it,
It's really good to tone it. They look like fit furniture.
Oh man, there's all sorts in here. Two shillings from 1949.
There is actually a half crown from 1950.
Of course, after 1947,
These have come out looking huge and unbelievable.
What's that, then?
1948
Company half of 1948. There was no stock there at all.
Earlier in the year, it would have been 50% base.
I don't believe it, if you see the crown
when the new crown came out as a foundation after 1947,
It's the foundation. In the booth, if it comes out looking like a foundation,
In the video, it has been planted by its children,
I don't think I believe it at this moment.
They're all orange, but that's been done very well indeed.
I was beginning to say it, with just a little emphasis,
I cannot return anything that has already been sold.
newly laid on the floor.
It's not available in a collection. That's perfectly fine.
I'm perfectly happy with that.

That's a good quality. And it's been well preserved.
That's a George V penny, and you can say so.
That's a bit better, 1919.
I'm saying it's not that bad.
That was better again, 1936.
That was actually really crusty,
Honestly, honestly, before I went into the tub.
That's very good, many of them are getting
I am indeed progressing steadily in the ledger books.
Oh, I hope I never have to see that.
Was that what I was hoping for? That's very important.
Very important, very important there.
We have managed to obtain a lot of important little things,
I thoroughly enjoy their books, more or less their work as a whole.
A modern government capable of being used now.
I think that would work from a window. That's good,
I came across this on one of my earlier Welsh days,
That's unlikely to go on much longer.
and perhaps writing, along with this.
That's very, very, very important with the water on it,
It looks like a copper ring,
I'm not sure what that is; it looks like it might be
made of copper, I don't know if it is
A little bit of butter, or what?
A few inches of decaying wood planks
with someone being led.
There is a lot of pre-decimal work here,
those words of theirs can no longer be read, either
And those people, they are very good.
There are 1806 stamps of George III. It is extremely rare.
It's visible, and you can see what it's doing.
With just a little bit of pressure on them, perhaps you could manage
I can't believe we're actually seeing this again.
That's that then, two florins and six.
They're pens, half-pens, oh,
a part of other heads and half-heads.
Three very important things have come out of this.
I think he's a copper hammer.
Yna, I know he's a copper hammer.
I am absolutely sure his name is Bobby.
Someone was working with me on that.
I think we could make it work with a twist on that.
This thing too, it seems to be like
success from what has come out. It looks like,
I don't know, it looks like a Welsh coin maybe.
It's working with products.
It's masculine, but I'm sure it's not masculine.
due to his having been taught so very much.
In the meantime, it looks like he's got products on that side.
I don't know who or what the thing is.
If anyone knows that, please let me know.
I think it was either 1830 or 1836.
Felly a very quick glimpse of that
you can come from your exceptional hardships,
Just by using the tumbler.
I really want to see what's in that bag of shame.
That will come back to life, and it is
Those were great moments there. Thanks for listening.
