Howdy.
Practice has been good.
Glad to be back on the field with my teammates,
making an impact, feeling their presence,
and just integrating back with them again.
Physically, how different do you feel now
as you saw the 49ers move forward?
Thank you.
There were just some hitches in my gait.
There were just things I was dealing with mechanically
Basically, that was just...
Only continue to like...
Evolve or I guess worsen now as I played more like throughout that game
So it was it was rough and I was trying to avoid it
But I know you you kind of learn
and you grow and now it's just a lesson
I had to learn from and you know took the necessary steps to come back
I mean it was frustrating for sure,
but it's just opportunity, you know, it's just it's
a different lens different perspective to
try to be a leader be a great teammate
and you know help out however I can
I'll try to grow as a player, even when I'm off the field.
I'll try to study guys who are doing it at a high level this year and
try to advise and help out the guys who are here.
How we can continue to improve and be better as a defense and
continue to take over games.
When? I don't think there was a specific moment or time.
It was all kind of just cascaded,
but there wasn't a specific play or down.
I mean, I was just frustrated after the game.
I knew that that wasn't me and I was being hampered by something
and I knew we had already had that conversation.
So afterwards, we kind of opened it back up
and I didn't want to miss any time,
but I had to be realistic about where I was at physically
and I had to make the best choice for myself and the team.
You
don't
fight
it.
No, it's all part of you.
No, the excitement, the, you know, the.
The joy of being out there again, you know,
all the emotions that come with it, you know,
you don't try to, you know, push them back,
you know, open yourself to them, you accept
it, and then, you know, after acknowledging it,
you go out there and do what you've always
done, you know, this isn't anything different for me,
you know, I know there was, I had
an injury, but, you know, now it's just,
it's like, you know, I'm just back on the field
and nothing has really changed.
I think the offense is really out
to pick their poison.
Who's going to be freed up this play?
And I think either of us are pretty good at winning one-on-one,
so we'll have some fun.
Absolutely, I mean going
into the season I never thought I'd have the chance and
you know as as y'all know he kept us you know
in suspense for quite a while so it
was it was very exciting to hear about
that and you know looking forward to
opportunity to get
on the field actually play some some real snaps with him.
It's exceptional
at all three levels
of the defense.
No?
Everyone's been playing well,
and I think there's just that matter of finishing.
These big plays, securing these turnovers.
Thank you very much.
Really turning ourselves from a great defense to an elite defense.
We're getting the stops, we're getting teams off the field,
but getting those takeaways and turning
those takeaways into touchdowns,
I think that will really set us apart
and make it so much easier for us as a team,
offensively, just helping them out a little bit more.
I just try to be myself.
I try to always be a positive light,
bring positive energy to my teammates and my surroundings.
So, just being able to
however I can uplift them
and enlighten them in ways that I can.
I think that just helps the next person do the same thing.
And if we all can make each other just a little bit better,
we'll always have a little bit of fun
and be able to support each other when the time calls.
What's going through my mind
Damn, the knees don't work like they used to.
Me too.
He came up to me, he was talking about his back.
Then he was saying...
You know, if it was my strip sack here that got it,
I was like, yo, just pick up the ball.
Well.
But I don't think you have that issue.
You know, we got some drills in,
and I've already seen the ball on the ground with me on the field,
and he scooped it up, so I think he's got that out the way.
Do you feel like it's going to take you
to kind of keep going in terms
of becoming a junior at this school?
Thank you.
Just staying together.
I mean...
Any given Sunday, there's wild games every week, and the most
unified team usually comes out on top at the end of the game.
And as long as we stay together, we support each other,
we know what we have in the building,
the kind of teammates and camaraderie we have.
Wild things do happen,
but as long as we don't lose faith, we'll be okay.
We never had to sit before.
I'm different than I was before.
It was very difficult, this is what I love to do.
I love being around my teammates,
being able to just help the whole group shine.
Seeing them go out there and having fun,
not only missing out on having fun,
but it's like I wanna be there in those moments and
be able to share in their success and celebrate their success.
Just not being able to do what I feel like I was put here to do.
Only one of the reasons I was put here.
It hurt me for a while, but I've got a good team around me.
I've got a great family.
I'm blessed to be in a great place with great weather.
So I'm happy to be back and make the most of my time off
and the rest of the time I've got.
All right, thanks, guys.
Well, he, we like him. He seems like such
a great guy that is defensive.
And for the Los Angeles Rams, Miles Garrett, he is back.
He has been injured, but he is making his comeback against
the Commanders on Sunday. He says that he is excited to take that field
and see what he can do out there.
So he also made, he's got a nice sense of humor.
He said that his knees just don't work like they used to.
