So Democrats, they're regaining control of Congress,
state lawmakers, a lot of Democrats
taking over Lansing.
With that being said,
what can we expect with AI and data centers come 2027?
Well, one of the things we can expect is for the Democrats,
since they have control of the
Senate and the House, is to oppose, not to oppose,
to stop many of these senators from being built.
Now, we're in a time right now to where that would
be something very bad because you do not
need to stop innovation.
If we go back to the Biden administration, people will wonder why
did the Trump administration move forward like they're doing?
They were pretty much given no
blueprint. During the Biden administration,
they pretty much had created a Bill of Rights.
So pretty much if you're giving no direction on anything and you want
to continue to innovate, you're going to do what is said necessary.
So that is one of the key reasons why
the Trump administration went all in on the hyperscale data centers
and went all in on artificial intelligence.
The Trump administration as a whole, too, again.
Does not want the United States to depend on other countries
because now you risk data breaches, excuse me,
and you risk other things being in.
We want to export our technology to make money off it,
not import people's technology and send our money out.
So technically speaking, your personal opinion,
would it kind of send us behind if we are putting moratoriums on data
center construction and pretty much all the other things related to AI?
Absolutely. And this is not a time in history.
You know, I'm concerned about the environment and how these centers
are being built. I agree they should be built in better locations
and we can make them close loop to where they're using their own water
and not raising everybody's electric bills.
But one of the things what people have to remember is if you stop
innovating, what kind of jobs are people going to be working?
And I want to ask everybody out there listening to this.
What kind of jobs are people going to be working? And how
are you going to stop companies from innovating and eliminating jobs?
The key thing now is we're going to stop data centers,
but the companies are still eliminating jobs.
The key thing now is we have to get people into those tech fields.
We have to get people into those mental health fields.
And we also have to get people into those trades fields.
The big thing should be how do we keep people employable,
not stopping innovation?
Because if you stop innovation,
how can America compete with the rest of the world and grow forward?
Dr. Dix, what do you know about other countries aside
from the U.S. and where they stand with artificial intelligence?
Well, companies, not countries, excuse me,
countries such as Japan and China are way
ahead, and the U.S. is always trying to pick up steam and move forward.
Those countries are moving forward,
and I can tell you they are glad when they hear
there are going to be moratoriums
because they're going to get years ahead of us.
I want people to also think about this.
If you stop building data centers for six months to a year,
you are putting America
behind.
The superintendent was on before,
and I saw that interview, and they were talking about
education.
I would go to them and ask them,
what kind of jobs are these kids and these adults going
to be working?
Simple task jobs, which are taking one thing from left to right,
are going to become obsolete.
If you are not technologically innovating
and you're not having people be into tech
fields and figure out how robotics
and autonomous vehicles work and how to use AI with cancer
research and health care and other things,
what are people going to do as jobs of the
future?
We call that the future of work.
Do you think there's going to be conflict
with Democrats coming in and the Trump administration
with this whole AI, the future of AI?
Yes, there's going to be absolute conflict
because there was trillions of dollars invested into it.
And I saw with a NASDAQ yesterday, it fell twelve hundred points
and two point three plus trillion dollars have been wiped out.
So there are so many people that have invested into this technology
and they want to get their return on investment.
But also they want to see the country move forward,
because if you innovate, you create new opportunities for people.
And if you create new opportunities,
these can be jobs that pay a lot of money.
Let's take someone that works in a store that is a...
package handler or bags groceries.
You could take that same person, put them into a STEM field,
such as something in AI or robotics engineer.
Their salary is going up from $8 an hour. Well,
the pay per hour would be $8 an hour
to where we can get them up to something $40 to $50 an hour.
So if you're going to take away building data centers
and having that infrastructure there,
again, the question would be to the Democrats
and some of the Republicans.
What are these people going to do to continue to innovate
and what are they going to do as
jobs go away? What are you going to recreate
and what are you going to replace them with?
You know, I'm glad you mentioned jobs because,
surprisingly, coincidentally, today,
the U.S. job market actually seems like it's growing.
So in a time when we're seeing strong hires, a lot of people
were concerned about losing their jobs due to artificial intelligence.
What is surprising you most about this announcement?
And is there a reinforcement here for all of us to look at and say,
you know what, maybe we just need this.
Maybe we do need AI.
Well, I saw there were about 168,000 jobs at it, and we need AI.
It's just the way that we're going to use it
and the way the data centers are built.
If we stop innovating and put a moratorium in,
it is going to cause damage that America
will take years to overcome.
We need AI.
I talk to a lot of people, Ronia, and they love using AI.
They love using chat GPT.
You have to have the infrastructure
and the firepower to make sure that language can do
computations and make sure it can work correctly.
Everybody that I talk with loves AI.
They say it's making their life more efficient
and they're getting more free time to do things.
The thing is, we have to have people in place
to when it is making the wrong judgments,
it's making the wrong calls,
be trained on how to fix it.
So again, the question goes to the part of the Democratic Party,
you know, since the blue wave you were talking about earlier,
how are you going to stop these companies from eliminating jobs
and what jobs are you going to create from people?
The problem is bigger than the data centers.
People's livelihood right now,
which is something we should not play with.
We have to understand how are we going to keep people employable
and what kind of jobs are they going to be working?
That would be my sentiment if I
was standing before them to talk to them about this.
Absolutely. You know, while we take a look at the White House,
we're still waiting for President Donald Trump to speak.
But in the meantime, you know, even on my end,
I have to say we've heard the story of AI anchors,
which certainly put things put a damper on our end here.
But then I thought, you know what?
I'm not worried. We're humans.
We know the humanity of stories. We know the emotions
behind certain stories.
And listen, at the end of the day, I use Muse. I don't know if you're
familiar with that social media and meta.
I got to tell you, sometimes I will say something and
this thing's already logging things in for me.
I find it pretty intriguing.
Yes, and that's giving you more easeability to do other things.
There are several tools out there.
We've talked about Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini.
I talked to some people, and they're taking training to learn on it,
how to create AI agents to help them do tasks.
So you mentioned that you like to use it
as a person when you with Muse, with Facebook.
Just imagine if you have 100,000 people that say,
I can save time and I can make more money by creating this AI agent
that can do other things for me.
