AI GeneratedThe region is currently experiencing dreary, rainy weather with reduced visibility, creating hazardous commuting conditions. While rain will taper off over the next few hours, a cold front is bringing chilly Canadian air, leading to temperatures in the 40s on Friday and lows in the 20s by Saturday morning. Sunshine and a warming trend are expected to return starting this weekend.
Let's take you live outside.
If this doesn't look like cold and flu weather, I don't know what does.
I know, this is perfect coming off that conversation.
The temperatures really dipped today, didn't they?
Now, Kim, you liked yesterday's weather. Do you like today's weather?
No, like this is like now too gray.
You know, yesterday was just like a fall kind of gray.
It was warm. You want to get outside, walk.
And the leaves today, it's just like, oh yeah.
And it's day three of kind of this dark and dreary
weather. So we're all over it, right?
We had our rain. It's still moving through right now.
And tomorrow, thankfully we can look ahead to drier conditions.
Now clouds may linger tomorrow,
especially lakeside, but eventually we are going
to see sunshine returning and a nice long stretch
through at least the middle of next week of dry weather.
Now here's our view from the station in
Brown Deer. It looks exactly like our, our Milwaukee cameras.
We have some light rain
And in some spots, it's more so just a heavy drizzle.
Regardless, it's not pretty out there right now.
It's time to commute.
Make sure you're taking it slow if you're about ready to head out.
Allow extra travel time.
And that goes for even the next hour
or two if you have to shuffle kiddos to practices
or games or anything after school.
Still take it slow.
Allow some of that extra travel time
because you will encounter wet pavement at the very
least, if not even some reduced visibility.
It doesn't look like much as we look at radar,
but there are light showers extending from
Sheboygan all the way down to Racine and Kenosha.
Now, the steadiest rain does appear to be across
Racine County, pushing into Kenosha County as well.
But it does extend into Waukesha and Milwaukee
and even down to Lake Geneva.
So these are the spots that likely it's picking up a little bit
and very quickly and reducing visibility,
not quite as bad towards the north.
Bigger picture, cold front has passed.
That means only a little bit longer
when it comes to these rain showers across our area
towards the northwest beginning to dry out.
And the bigger picture, we've got a couple
of different high-pressure systems in the vicinity.
Look at the bubble of clearing
that we're seeing across northern Minnesota.
That's what we could potentially tap into throughout the day tomorrow
as these high-pressure systems get closer.
So the end is near.
Just keep in mind with incoming sunshine.
Sunshine comes incoming chilly air.
The high pressure moving in from the north going to pull in.
Man, this is the first time I think I've said it all season.
Some cool Canadian air.
Tomorrow, high temperatures will likely stay in the 40s.
And then Saturday morning, we're looking
at 20s for low temperatures inland
and low 30s for temperatures lakeside.
So, again, some of the coolest air of the season so far.
Let's check in with Sky Vision Plus.
You'll notice.
Dries us out very quickly in the next couple of hours.
I do still think another two hours of some of this drizzle and mist,
and then we'll really begin to dry things out.
Not expecting to see much clearing.
Sky Vision is a bit more optimistic, but I do think we'll have some
cloud cover through tomorrow morning, maybe longer than that lakeside.
But otherwise, Friday, a little breezy.
It's going to be chilly. And then towards the weekend,
that's when we start to see more of the sun.
Temperatures are in the process of dropping right now.
Rhinelander only in the mid 30s. Look at Milwaukee already 47.
So from here, we're going to continue to fall through the 40s,
30s for low temperatures tomorrow morning.
It's going to feel significantly cooler.
And then Friday afternoon,
there are those 40s that we were just mentioning.
And the coolest period of time during
this stretch will be Saturday morning.
That's when we have that chance for upper 20s to low 30s.
Again, frost looking likely even lakeside Saturday morning
and even Sunday morning lakeside.
We could have a little bit of frost still in the area,
but coolest time frame again over the weekend.
Then you'll notice how lows actually begin
to climb a little bit and that's also when high
temperatures will begin to climb a little bit as well.
Eventually some sunshine on Friday but a
cooler day with highs in the 40s plus breezy.
50 on Saturday and look at the shift there nearing
60 on Sunday seeing 60s early next week
and then we drop a little bit next Wednesday which
is Veterans Day but we have a nice long stretch of sunshine.
