It's from Camp Merrill in Lumpkin County.
The chief is not exactly sure who called the rangers,
but they were out here providing assistance.
We saw a U.S. Army ranger hanging outside
the helicopter just looking for anyone who may need to be rescued.
And we did talk to a resident earlier today
who had to be rescued from his home,
and he says that rescue workers were able
to get to his house very quickly.
Take a listen.
I got up about 3 o'clock this morning and our church was under water,
so we got a lot of rain between, say,
4 o'clock to 3 o'clock this morning.
I want to commend our police department, fire department.
They've been right here on the Johnny on the spot.
We've got motorcycles under water, cars under water.
Every one of the shops in McKaysville is under water,
so I imagine they'll be closed for quite a while.
And close to the river over there in Toccoa River,
we did see some propane tanks that
were lodged underneath the bridges in McKaysville.
But as the water is starting to recede,
we're starting to see some of the debris that was
piled on those bridges start to float downstream.
Thankfully, the police chief says that they have
no major injuries, though some people
did have to be taken to the hospital
for hypothermia because they were in shock.
And he also says that a firefighter had
to be checked out due to some leg pain,
but she is expected to be okay.
But for now, there's a lot of long cleanup.
Again, three months after another flood in McKaysville
that caused significant damage in McKaysville.
So three months after that flood, McKaysville residents are once again
trying to clean up after another flood.
We're going to stay on top of these
conditions and report back what we see.
But for now, reporting live in McKaysville, Ray Yerena, Fox 5 News.
That is like.
That's like a 2,000 gallon tank, Heidi.
That is enormous. It's like a submarine.
And this was the scene in Copper Hill, Tennessee.
Viewer Jacob Kern captured video
of a giant propane tank floating down
the swollen Ocoee River behind his house.
Copper Hill is just across the state line
from McKaysville. He also sent us a video
of what the area looked like once it was daylight. And take a look.
