Once again, it's another beauty out there.
In fact, this morning is just, you know, equally as nice,
if not even a little bit more brisk than yesterday.
So how long is that going to last?
Well, you know, it can't last forever.
We actually do have a round of some rain coming in.
Let me start out showing you that here with a statewide view
of total rainfall accumulations from our GFS computer model.
This is over the next five days.
And you'll see that some spots here to our south
are even getting into this five-inch-plus category here
here as you get closer to around Corpus Christi and down
To around the Victoria area as well.
Most of that heavy stuff should stay to our south.
But as we head into the day on Sunday, really from Harris County
southward is where we could pick up a couple inches of rain.
But even areas to the north
that aren't necessarily, at least from this model.
You know, depicted as having a lot of rain will
at a minimum have some cloud cover
and that's going to really hold temperatures down coming up on Sunday.
So let's compare that here to our Fox weather model. You're gonna see
a mess developing out here to our west for the time being.
Everything looks fantastic. The tail end of this front may help
to ignite a couple of showers late in the day today.
Again, well off to our south and then heading into tomorrow.
We have a brief disturbance coming through.
Very slight chance for a light shower tomorrow, maybe a sprinkle.
And then on Saturday we're going to
You see this big disturbance that's in California right now.
It's an upper-level spin, an upper-level low in the atmosphere.
And just look at this mess here from around Interstate 35 westward out
to the Hill Country and into West Texas.
We've got lots of rain setting up here heading into Saturday night.
Some of that drifts in our direction Saturday night.
And then on Sunday is when we expect
these waves of rain to move over the area.
And that will likely hold temperatures down to like between about...
62 and 65 for afternoon high temperatures,
so it's going to be kind of a dreary and cool day coming up on Sunday.
For right now, it's also...
Cool, but it is not dreary.
In fact, far from it.
We've got the sun that's going to begin
to warm things up here in pretty short order.
Pasadena, good morning to you, at 56.
Roughly the same mid-50s for Baytown.
Magnolia is 54.
Out to the west, Catspring, good morning to you, at 52.
Sugar Land is currently at 57.
These dips that you see in the jet stream, so Texas is over here.
Here's Colorado, California.
Wherever you see these dips, we call those troughs,
and usually they are associated with rain.
Some of them are stronger or sharper than others.
This one is going to give us that slight chance for drizzle tomorrow.
But this is the bigger one that's going to dig
in and give us our biggest rain chance coming up on Sunday.
So here we go.
83 today with sunshine.
Fantastic.
About 61 tonight.
80 tomorrow with a little more cloud cover.
A 20% rain chance on Saturday.
But then that jumps up Saturday night into the day on Sunday.
Notice that high of only 65 on Sunday.
Followed by a low in the 40s on Monday.
