X just merged Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium into one plan called the X Subscription. In this video, I explain everything that launched, including Grok 4.7, the five tiers, and the new shared usage pool. Then I put the whole stack to work via taking a cold brew brand called Alto from idea to launch like a one-person company. I research the market with Grok and real-time X search, then build the website with a Cursor cloud agent. Next, I make the launch photos and video in Grok Imagine and train a Grok Bot to run daily operations. Finally, I launch Alto on X. At the end, I cover costs, which tier to pick, and three drawbacks you should know about.

I do NOT sell any products of my own. Watch out for scams.
So it's been a busy few weeks in the world of A.I.
Grok shipped a new frontier model, Grok bots are running around
on their own computers in the cloud doing work on your behalf.
And Cursor started letting you host your own code.
Now, all of that, in addition to X Premium, has now been merged
under one ecosystem subscription.
It's called the X subscription.
And so in this video, I'm going
to tell you everything you need to know about the launch
of the X subscription.
So what's included, the benefits, the disadvantages, and then the focus
of this video is going to be actually using it.
So we're going to start with just explaining
what the launches and the updates are.
And then we're going to take a product from idea to launch
Using this stack to explore how it functions as a customer,
we're going to research it with grok,
build it in cursor, make the launch assets in grok imagine,
and then hand the daily workload
to a bot and finally actually launch it on accident.
At the end, we're going to cover
Over all of the capabilities and the costs involved.
So if you just want to understand what the new X subscription is,
just stick around for the next
few minutes. If you want to understand how
to best use this yourself, then stick around for
the whole video. That said, it's going to be a fun one.
Let's go. So there are five things that
launched. Number one is the X subscription.
It launched on October 12th. And what that is, is
Grok bought Cursor and X Premium all on one plan.
There are five tiers there. So there's free,
plus, premium, super, and ultra.
And the real change is kind of in the usage, where now usage
is one shared pool kind of credit
or token wise across Grok and Cursor as opposed to
a cap on a per product basis now premium gets about four times
the usage of plus super is 15
times and ultra 50 times and then
also premium rules up super grok cursor pro and x premium plus
now number two is grok 4.7 that's
their most capable model yet for coding and knowledge work so
it includes a bigger base model
and is trained to just work harder on these very long very complete
Flex problems.
It also holds more context and will check its own work.
And it's half the price of comparable models.
So net that means a cheaper model and more work per pool or per usage.
The number three is Grok bot.
That's what I'm most excited about personally,
if you couldn't tell by the kind of videos on this channel
and what it is, is a new kind of colleague,
so to speak, with his own computer
in the cloud.
And so it's a bot that signs into the tools you use.
He works across apps and inboxes
and then only comes back when he needs your approval.
So you can teach him a task by recording yourself doing it once
and then he can go out there
and do it on your behalf.
And that is for people on the premium plan and up.
Number four, Cursor is on the main plan now,
and it's a lot more like an editor these days
as I describe it.
So there's cloud agents that keep working when your laptop is closed.
There are automations that run on a schedule or on event.
And there's a thing called the bug bot,
which reviews your pull requests.
And then finally, recently, there's
this thing called origin from cursor, which is their own
code hosting. And all of that as well as included on premium.
Now my fifth category here covers
everything else that is launched as of late.
So there's imagine that makes images and video with
audio, there's voice to build voice agents build,
which is a coding agent in your terminal that
So that runs 4.7 by default.
And then on the X side.
Plus gets a checkmark creator tools and advanced analytics.
Premium is going to add an ad-free timeline on most surfaces.
It also gets you a preferred handle and a higher reply boost.
And so overall, I know we've covered a lot,
but that is everything that has launched in the past few weeks.
Now we're going to get into actually trying it out
and seeing it in action.
A quick note before the demos here,
SpaceX partnered with me on this video and for that
reason I'm on the premium plan
and so if you want to build alongside these demos in the same plan
to feel out the new system,
the link is going to be in the description for that. Again, premium is
the one that includes Grokbot and there's
also a free tier if you want to just poke around first
that works as well. So either way,
just pull that up and let's get into my computer.
So here's the project. It's called Alto, and it's
a cold brew concentrate brand that I've been using for these demos.
It's kind of like a business we've been building for a few months now,
and we're going to launch it like a one person company
with these tools in four handoffs.
There's going to be number one, think, number two,
build, number three, create, and number four, run.
And then we publish.
And each of these handoffs is going to use
a different product that pulls from the same
pool for this new subscription.
And what I really want to illustrate
is how you can hand off these different domains of
work to these tools.
That's going to be the bottom line that connects
this new subscription from my perspective.
So first hand off is the thinking, so to speak.
So I'm in Grok right now,
and on premium, this is running the latest model that is Grok 4.7.
And I think the big plus here
for knowledge thinking kind of research work is real time X search.
And that means, for example,
the conversation about cold brew is happening on X right now,
there's a lot of people I'm sure
talking about coffee out there in the world.
And Grok can read all of that.
So let's go ahead and I'm going to type in,
I'm launching Alto, a cold brew concentrate
sold directly to consumers in the US.
I want you to search X in the web for what people
are saying about cold brew concentrate
right now.
Give me the top five complaints that people have
with current products, three needs, and
then the three most common competitor formats with prices.
And then finally.
Pressure test my launch offer with a subscription box
versus a one-time starter kit.
So pick one and then tell me why.
We're really putting GrokBot to work here.
We're gonna finish as well with a one-page launch spec
for a single-page website that a coding agent can build
without asking me questions.
And that's going to include a bunch of other stuff as well.
And what's important to remember here
is that it's pulling in real posts
that are opinions from people out there, actual customers,
not just kind of,
About a vibe, so to speak, from the general internet.
And so the goal is it's going to give me
the complaints with the receipts
and then tell me what to build in a spec
that I can hand straight to an agent later in this video.
And so here we can see all of the results that were generated,
including those conversations from X,
as well as the spec that will go
and hand to Cursor to build the website.
Now for our second handoff, what I'm going to do is take that spec.
from grok and then give it to cursor
and i'm using a cloud agent on purpose here
the whole point of this plan is that the agent is going to keep working
while i move on to the next thing
so we're going to parallelize the tasks
and this will be a recurring theme you can parallelize
because you can have 10 agents
50 agents 100 agents as many agents
as you want all doing work in parallel on your behalf
But for now, we're just going to start with one.
So let's say build this as a single page site
with a clean and dark and minimal design.
I want some just plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript
so it runs anywhere and then include all of this.
So a hero section, product price,
a brew ratio calculator, a pre-order form.
And then I want you to run it,
fix anything that's broken
and open a pull request finally when it works.
And the model we're using here is going to be Grok 4.7.
So it's going to stay in the subscription pool.
And there's two things I want to point out while it builds.
So number one, this is running in Cursor's cloud, not on my laptop.
So I can close it and it will keep building.
And then number two, when it's done,
it's going to open a pull request on origin.
That is Cursor's code hosting.
BugBot is going to review it.
And so we get the repo, the review,
and the agent in one sub place as part of the new subscription.
Now, a note there, if you do live in the terminal, then Grok build
is going to do a very similar thing from the command line.
So same pool and also 4.7 by default.
Now, here are the results of the website build.
So we can see a video that the agent made
for us demonstrating what it made.
So that right there is the homepage for the website.
We have our product images and we have our brew ratio calculator.
Okay, now we're at our third handoff.
This is going to be the visual launch assets that we need.
So we're going to jump back into Grok, this time to the Imagine tab,
and I'm going to give it this image prompt.
So I want a product photo of a matte black.
And here are the first
four images that were
generated as well
as a video that I'll play
for you now.
So that is the long shot and the hero image for the site
and that to reiterate this, I know I'm
beating a dead horse here,
but that is coming out of the same pool as the research and the code.
This is all one big ecosystem
and that's the core update that I want to convey in this video.
And now we're ready for our fourth and final handoff.
This is going to be a new one. This
This is Grokbot and everything so far
has still been me prompting.
and waiting. That's the modality we're all used to with AI.
This is different. This is me doing
the equivalent of hiring, where I'm going to open Grokbot
and I'm going to give it this instruction.
You run daily operations for Alto,
a cold brew concentrate launch, every weekday at 8am
indefinitely, right?
What you're going to do is open the pre-order admin page.
Count new pre-orders since yesterday.
Search X for posts mentioning
the Alto Cold Brew we're asking about Cold Brew Concentrate.
Draft replies for the five best posts in my voice.
And then send me a summary with the count and the five drafts.
I do want to say, never post or reply publicly without my approval.
So the agent is going to do all of the work, but not go the final mile,
not post without my final review and approval.
And now the part that makes this really cool
and I think a step forward for the whole AI space
is teach a task.
So what I'm going to do is open the bot's computer
and then hit record
and then go do that admin check once myself
for the first time.
And so this Grok bot is then going to turn that
into a routine.
We're calling him the auto launch manager
that he can run on his own.
So we're actually training the AI ourself
to do our own work,
which is an incredibly powerful feature.
So now I can go ahead
Hands off, I can close my laptop and the bot's computer is still on.
Now we're CrockBot, so the Alto Launch Manager
is going to remember how I like things done,
thanks to kind of the memory and the context ecosystem around it.
So he's only going to ping me
when he needs something approved, just like an employee.
And final time on premium that is going to be included
in the same pool as everything else we've looked at in the video.
So we made it. Our brand is ready.
We've covered a lot of ground so far. And our last step is going
to be a ceremonial launch.
So a post on X because that's where the research for the video, for the
product, the visual assets, et cetera, have all come from.
Now you can see we get the check mark,
we get a reply boost and advanced analytics as part
of that subscription. And so let's go ahead
and click post and Alto is now live for the world.
So high level to recap, we did research on 4.7.
We did a cloud agent build product shots,
a video on Imagine, a Grok bot, and then the
X upgrade as well.
And that used to be four separate limits,
which means you could hit the cap on one and
you might have credits or tokens remaining on the other three.
Now it's one pool, right?
So much more efficient spend,
whatever you don't spend on code, you can spend on video
or a bot.
And so nothing is going to go to waste.
Now, here's a look at what we spent to get this video done.
So everything you've looked at was included in the usage shown here.
And the pool is always going to buy you
at least as much usage as that product would
cost on its own.
And the other two are just going to come on top.
On the coding side, every tier includes
at least twice the coding usage on Grok models
as the Cursor Planet replaces.
And as far as which tier you should go for,
if you're considering, I would just say go
premium if you want Grok bot.
And then the latest models, video, and the full X upgrade.
That's like base level.
Go for super if you're using those tools all the time
and you want priority.
You just want kind of max level usage.
If you really want max level usage, though,
then ultra is going to be the biggest pool
or the most usage possible in the lineup.
And now teams do get premium, super, and ultra at the same per seat.
Price with admin controls and SSO for all of y'all who run a larger
business for all. If you use any one of these tools, this is just,
I think a clearly superior structure for pricing and usage.
If you don't use any of the tools,
it's an awesome ecosystem to get started with.
And I will close on that note.
So that is everything that has launched. That's how it works together.
That's the advantages. That's the disadvantages.
Now, one final time,
the link is in the description and premium is the plan you want.
So if you comment X under this video,
we'll send you the link to access the X subscription.
That said, I appreciate y'all being here
and I will see you in the next one.
