But let's go ahead and listen into this live here.
Okay, so first off, tell us, your husband works in here.
What kind of layout for him?
So he told me he was doing like a catering or whatever.
And then he texted me.
I was texting him because I just went on lunch and he told me,
he's like, babe, there's an active shooter in here.
I'm going to read it to you.
I'll read you the message.
He said, where's it at?
He said we have a shooter at work. I said, what?
Oh my god, are you serious? He said, yes, we are all hiding right now.
I said, in your area? He said, in the bank, in the building I'm in.
I said, I see all the cops coming in.
I said, please be careful, stay quiet.
I said, I love you and stay safe. He said, I love you too.
And I said, are you out of the bank? And he got quiet.
And I was like freaking out because I'm like,
where the hell are you at? Come on, anything.
And then he said, no, they just got us in the room hiding.
There's a lot of people hiding in one area.
And then he said, but this room is not, it has no locks on it.
If the shooter comes in, we're screwed.
And I said, okay, just please be safe.
And then finally, ten minutes later, he said, don't come over here.
He said, we're finally out, I'm in the garage.
So I don't know anything other than that.
I do know that I think he's still in there.
He said he saw somebody laying down, and that was it.
And you said he was doing a catering order. Does he work for Citibank?
He works for Citibank. He goes in different
departments in different buildings,
so he's not in a specific area.
So they're constantly moving to different buildings.
Has anything like this ever happened before?
Someone else I talked to said this is a secure campus.
Oh, it's very secure.
You can't even get into the garage unless
you have, like, a badge to get in there.
So I don't know if the shooter worked there.
I don't know if they, somebody, I have no idea.
But I do know that they're very secure and they don't have,
like, you can't even get in the garage.
So I don't know how he got in.
Yeah, and when your husband texted you that, I mean,
as a wife, as just somebody in someone's family in their life,
what goes through your head?
I mean, we see active shooters all the time inside the school.
You don't ever think it's going to be your loved one.
I'm just glad he texted me back, girl.
I'm like, you have no idea.
It's a big relief.
You never think it's going to happen to you until it happens.
So I'm very grateful that he's okay.
I don't know about employees.
I have no idea.
I don't.
Yeah. So it's a lot. It's a lot to digest.
We're so glad that you've gotten in touch with him at this point
and he's hopefully in a safe spot. He's with the cops. Thank God.
But not everybody's going to be that grateful. And I just pray
that everybody in his job that works in his department is okay.
And I'm so sorry for whoever is in there that's not able to get out.
Thank you so much for doing this. I appreciate it.
