Galata Tower dijadikan tambatan rantai besar diatas Golden Horn yg membentang diatasnya.
Rantai digunakan untuk menghalangi dan menghambat laju kapal yg ingin menyerbu Constantinopel. Karena rintangan besar ini , Sultan Al fatih mendapat ide memasuki Golden Horn dengan membawa kapal perang melalui daratan Galata kemudian menurunkan kembali ke laut Golden Horn untuk melakukan penyerangan Allahu Akbar!!!.

Dalam penaklukan tembok tebal Konstantinopel,
