A Milwaukee man convicted of sexually assaulting
a stranger he met at a bus stop is on the run tonight.
He was out in parole and stopped following the rules.
Ashley Sears with the nicknames that could help identify him.
You can't candy coat a situation like this one.
This incident was a very heinous crime.
In 2012, U.S. Marshals say Deon Spichalla tried sweet-talking
a woman at a bus stop near North and Fifth.
Kind of coerced her with a bus pass because she was cold.
But he had cruel intentions, deceiving the cognitively disabled woman,
convincing her to walk with him.
Lured her under false pretenses
to an abandoned house where he proceeded to rape her in the yard.
Spichalla was arrested, charged, and convicted of sexual assault.
He went to prison.
After doing time, he was released with GPS monitoring.
The Milwaukee man registered as a sex offender
and was supposed to be checking in with the
parole officer.
About a year later, he went on the run.
They don't know what he's doing, don't know where he's at.
Spichalla has a lengthy criminal past with arrests for armed robbery,
guns and pushing candy of a different kind.
Investigators have concerns about what he's been up to.
The worry for law enforcement
is that he might again act on that impulse.
The 53-year-old is believed to be in the Milwaukee area.
He uses several nicknames including Mac D, Big Nose,
and one that seems too sweet for this fugitive.
So he can be identified with several
different aliases that he uses in the past,
primarily Skittles.
U.S. Marshals say he won't taste the rainbow if he keeps on running.
Getting him back into custody would
be a sweet ending for law enforcement.
In Milwaukee, Ashley Sears, Fox 6 News.
Dion Spichalla is six foot one inch tall.
He weighs 185 pounds. He has a tattoo on his left
knuckles that spell out his name, Dion.
He also has a heart and a cross tattoo on his right forearm.
The 53-year-old, as you just heard,
is believed to be in the Milwaukee area. If you do know where
he is, you're asked to call the U.S. Marshals' tip line.
The number is 414-297-3707. You will

The high-speed chase ends in a crash
and the suspect ran away from the scene.
Fox 6's Ashley Sears with why U.S. Marshals say
the fugitive is no stranger to law enforcement.
There's no reason to put the pedal
to the metal trying to outrun the law.
The general public is going to continue
to be at risk as long as he is in the community.
U.S. Marshals say Deshaun Lawrence didn't stay
in his lane last November, but veered off, breaking the law.
Mr. Lawrence made a different decision, and he chose to flee.
Greenfield police pulled over
the 33-year-old Milwaukee man near 27th and Layton.
He stopped momentarily before investigators
say he led them on a wild chase.
Speeds in that pursuit reached in excess
of 100 up to about 115 miles an hour.
A criminal complaint explains Lawrence hopped on the highway
and the chase picked back up near his home on Milwaukee's south side.
When you're driving at such rates of speed,
obviously you lack control of your vehicle.
Marshals say Lawrence ran from the crash.
Investigators found large amounts of weed in the car.
DNA on the airbag and cell phone data helped police connect him
to the crime and led to charges.
Mr. Lawrence has shown time and time again that he's
not willing to comply with law enforcement.
Investigators say the 33-year-old has an extensive criminal past,
including a previous arrest connected to a 2015 homicide.
We would hope that Mr. Lawrence would just stand up,
be a man, and take responsibility for his actions.
U.S. Marshals are keeping their eyes on the finish line,
not trying to hit the brakes on this case.
In Milwaukee, Ashley Sears, Fox 6 News.
Let's take another look here.
Deshaun Lawrence, 5'11", about 140 pounds.
The 33-year-old has tattoos on his arms and chest,
and he is believed to still be in the Milwaukee area.
So, you know where Deshaun is?
Give U.S. Marshals the tip line a call, 414.

U.S. Marshals are looking for a man charged
with violently abusing children in a Manitowoc home.
During the investigation, police say drugs were also found.
Fox 6's Ashley Sears with where the fugitive might be hiding.
There's a certain light to every child
that can easily be dimmed by the darkness of an adult.
U.S. Marshals say 42-year-old Lavelle Nance had
been stealing that light for some time.
At this point, our biggest concern is for the public
and the children that still may be in his presence.
In 2022, a police investigation began after a child
was found unresponsive at a Manitowoc home.
There was a child that was ultimately brought
to the hospital with some sort of medical condition.
That child passed away.
Following the death,
A different investigation started at the same home.
A criminal complaint explains police found large amounts of drugs,
also unveiling physical abuse of other children in the house.
It appears as though this was an ongoing situation
in which Mr. Nance was engaging
in fairly violent behavior towards these children
in potentially an act of discipline.
Nance and a woman were charged with child abuse.
Not related to the toddler's death.
Nance stopped showing up to court
and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
These allegations against him are very serious.
The 42 year old has an extensive criminal history with convictions
for armed robbery, battery by a prisoner and drugs.
He's believed to be in southeast Wisconsin and sometimes uses
the nickname Lil One. Mr. Nance needs to just be a man,
stand up for his responsibilities and have his side of the story heard.
U. S. Marshals want him to answer to the allegations
and close the book on this case.
In Manitowoc, Ashley Sears, Fox 6 News.
All right, let's recap here.
Lavelle Nance is 5'7 and 150 pounds.
The 42-year-old has a 4-inch scar on his neck.
He has a tattoo on his right arm of a scroll with children's names.
