Investigators, FBI, Philadelphia police executing
a search warrant on her home.
Shiva, that's correct. And at this hour, they're still inside the home.
Police and the FBI. We know
that state police were here with what they believed
to be a cadaver dog. They also went
inside the home. They were there for about an hour,
but have since left. Again, this is where
Alfred lived with a foster parent.
According to family members, they were also out here today
hanging up flyers, hoping someone knows something.
Investigators appearing to kick in the door
on North Simpson Street Tuesday evening,
where 10-year-old Jalasia Alford,
known as Malaysia to her family, was last seen.
She lived here with a foster parent, according to family members.
Philadelphia police, the FBI, and state police went inside
at one point with a cadaver dog for a search.
District Attorney Larry Krasner
also briefly stopped by as the search intensified.
There's a lot of great detectives working hard out here.
There's a lot of help coming from special agents and other federal...
Officers, a whole lot of people,
including some lawyers in my office, are working hard on this case,
but we need information, and we need it right now,
about this missing 10-year-old girl.
Law enforcement sources tell Fox 29 Alford went to school on Thursday,
October 22nd and was seen coming home from school that day to the 500
block of North Simpson Street where she lived, but nothing since.
She did not attend school on Friday, the 23rd, sources say,
and was reported missing on Monday, October 26th.
Alfred's aunt, Yolanda Brown,
says Alfred lived here with a foster parent.
Brown says she was told Alfred went to be with her biological mom.
But she says no family members have her.
It was told to me, like, my sister had her.
But once I caught up with my sister
and talked to my sister, she did not have her.
So it wasn't like it was stated, like, she could just be missing.
So I believe that was taking so long.
She's not like a child that would just go off with anyone.
She's very intellectual. She's very sweet. She's very kind.
Like, she cares about people. She's very empathetic.
And I don't think this is her nature to run away.
Philadelphia police monitoring the home since Monday.
Sources say at least one cadaver dog assisted
in their investigation yesterday.
And today they were joined by the FBI,
searching for cameras that might have video.
Police also utilized a drone in their search.
Alfred's brother and oldest sister are helping to look for her.
Malaysia, if you are safe.
I love you and please contact me any way you can.
If anybody you are with does know me,
please ask them to get in contact with me
because I love you and I hope that you're safe.
Now the DA would not say why this search
is intensifying eight days after she was reported
missing. Investigators here have not commented either
but again they are still asking for the
public's help. If you have any information
on her whereabouts you're asked to call 9-1-1
or Southwest Detectives. Sheba.
Yes very curious Kelly as to what new information it looks like
they have to prompt this search warrant of her home.
All right Kelly we know you'll keep us
was updated on this.
