Dr. Robert Malone warns that advances in artificial intelligence could make it increasingly difficult to distinguish real people from synthetic identities online.
Speaking at CPAC, Malone discusses AI-generated personas, bots, censorship, disinformation, and what he sees as the growing manipulation of the online information environment. He argues that future political influence campaigns could become increasingly personalized and warns that people may struggle to determine whether the accounts, images, and information they encounter online are authentic.
CPAC hosts incredible guests and speakers including Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles of the Daily Wire, the late Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA, Steve Bannon of War Room, Donald Trump Jr., Vivek Ramaswamy, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Dan Bongino, and many more leading voices in conservative media and politics.
This was launched, this is formally launched in 2022,
and strangely there was alignment between
Barack Obama giving a speech, you may recall,
about the necessity to censor in order to protect
democracy and the launching of the Digital Services Act.
The truth is that this is a
coordinated effort to shut down populist movements.
Populist movements appear to be the threat that is
the real vector that they're all responding to here,
and this is being really in many ways
United States political interests using European interests
as surrogates in order to achieve
their objectives.
So that's what's really going on here,
and it very much has a Democrat Party angle to all of this activity.
But it's all justified that it's necessary
to censor in order to preserve, quote, democracy.
And I think explaining that is so key to this because oftentimes
we say, well, the people who are in charge of determining what
is misinformation or disinformation have gotten it wrong.
But I don't think it's actually sufficient to say they got it wrong.
They deliberately identified things
that they found inconvenient or even dangerous.
dangerous to their own pursuit of power.
Well said, right. It's a structure intended
specifically to achieve a political objective,
which is to shut down populist uprisings,
which are perceived as threatening to the entire Western structure.
But now we're moving beyond
that, right? That's kind of today where we're at.
The question is, what does the landscape look like
tomorrow and the impact of artificial intelligence
in really creating a structure that's very aligned
The core principles, fifth generation warfare,
psychological warfare, where you fragment
the ability of a populace to even understand what is truth,
to perceive what is truth.
That's the intention of a lot of this activity now is to make it
so that you don't know what's
true and what's false.
And once you get to that point where a population is so.
confused. Then it becomes possible to readily manipulate
that population, inject new narratives
at will, and control what they're thinking, feeling, and believing.
And that's where this
all goes. It's censoring those thoughts,
those emotions, those feelings, those facts.
That are inconvenient, but then beyond that, it's to inject in ideas,
dialogue, control of information that's customized around you
and your personal profile so that you act politically.
You think, you feel, you believe,
whatever it is that is intended to be promoted into you.
And that's the current status.
As we move beyond this to the next two elections,
we're into a space where we all know about bots.
We all encounter those routinely.
We're now going to be moving into a space
in which the literally synthetic humans
are populating our information landscape,
and we're unable to discern whether they are actual organic humans
or are they entirely digital.
And we're also moving into a space
in which the entire information landscape
is distorted, manipulated, and you will find it extremely difficult
to tell what's true and what's false.
And that is by intention.
