The Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, has announced aid for those affected by the Urda accident. “Tomorrow we will approve a decree based on the aid package we already implemented after the previous accident in Adamuz,” he announced, explaining that it will have four key components: “an aid scheme that doubles the amount of mandatory passenger insurance,” “a specific mechanism for advance compensation payments,” “a specific temporary disability procedure to provide enhanced coverage for the victims of that accident,” and “the establishment of comprehensive and personalized support offices in the regional and sub-regional government offices where the affected individuals reside.”
