Yeah, they have a very elaborate light display.
You know, we first saw the house in October.
They had it up already.
Hmm.
Yeah.
Do they go that big every year?
The herald angels sing,
Glory to the newborn King.
They go that big all year.
I've never seen my...
Oh, wow.
Wow.
That's my cue.
Pleasure.
It was a pleasure.
All right.
Oh, that's too funny.
The Kringles really love Christmas,
but things take a turn when their new neighbors
soon realize their sinister intentions
and team up to launch a high-stakes rescue mission.
Christmas at the Kringles is not your average Christmas movie,
but you can check it out in theaters on Friday.
Hey, Gino.
All right, let me just state off the bat,
this is not a warm family comedy.
It is a different type of movie
because it is holiday and it's horror.
I talked with Rob Riggle and Rachel Bilson about it.
This movie is here.
This movie is in this lane.
What movie is this lane in?
Yeah.
Your guess is as good as mine.
That's fine.
It is a comedy, horror, holiday, what,
oh my gosh, that can't be right, yep, type movie.
I'm starting to speak.
And Rachel, I love for you, you are...
You are what we are feeling.
You are that normal person in an abnormal situation.
Talk about some of the people who you are acting with,
because I started with Ron,
who looks in pain throughout this movie in the most beautiful way.
Yes. Ron looks in pain throughout the whole movie
and it's perfect for his character. I mean,
we were surrounded by Rob Riggle, Thomas Lennon,
Arden Mirren, Beverly D'Angelo. I mean,
just the list goes on. You couldn't put together
a better group to just create the most insane,
fun, hilarious movie I think I've ever seen.
I totally can remove myself and just watch it.
And I'm like, what is this? But also I love it.
I love it.
That's quite the cast list.
She just rattled off there.
It looks like they had a lot of fun on the set, too.
You know what?
I know there are actors, and everyone could pretend that they had fun.
I really do believe this cast really enjoyed working with each other.
I love this Santa because I'm
not quite sure about him almost throughout the whole movie.
Yeah, I think that's what makes him fun,
is you don't know if he's a good guy, a bad guy.
You don't know if he's got a good heart, a bad heart.
I'm going to start.
Then also you don't know, is he real?
Is he magical? Does he have superpowers?
What's going on with this guy? Because he feels like a jerk.
And then he feels like a good guy.
So it's a lot of fun to play a character that you can't pin down.
Rachel, I may be unpopular in this opinion, but...
I always suspect people who have Christmas decorations up way too long
that there's something wrong.
This movie confirms it.
Yeah, I mean, well, all year long, I think,
is different than, like, February, right?
I mean, listen, I still have spiders outside
from last Halloween, so I'm not one to talk.
That's just—now they look really creepy, so it works in my favor.
But, yes, all year long is definitely suspicious.
Rob, you always seem to enjoy life and to want to have a good time.
And with a cast like this,
I'm guessing you felt this way throughout the movie.
Well, it's the greatest gift in the world when you're driving to set.
Well, first of all, we got to make this in L.A., which never happens.
So that was huge.
I was thrilled about that.
But when you're driving to set and you can't get there fast enough,
that's a really good sign.
That's a sign that, you know,
I think I'm involved in a project I'm really enjoying.
And it's because of the people.
We had a great director, Kevin.
We had a great cast.
People that I enjoyed being in front of the camera with,
but honestly, as soon as they
yelled cut, I just wanted to go sit down
and do more bits because we were just, it was
a joyful experience.
Everybody was having fun.
Everybody sincerely enjoyed each other
and it made for a great environment.
I loved it.
It's nice to hear, right?
Because you hear so many of the background gossip
and rumors and fighting and stuff.
So, like you said, they're actors, who knows?
But it seems pretty genuine.
Yes, but here again, I want to warn people because some years back,
I got a call from a studio saying, hey,
we have a movie we want to send you to.
It's called Bad Santa.
And I was screening it at the Mayfair Theater, and I brought my nephew.
He's 10 years old.
I mean, a cute Santa movie.
I ran him out of that theater in like five minutes
after the fourth bad word that was uttered by Santa.
A lot of these movies lately have a little turn,
like a little twist in it.
Right, right.
Do not go to this with kids.
I'm just telling you.
I like that.
You're throwing that out there immediately.
Immediately.
Yeah.
Thanks, Gino.
All right, Gino.
See you tomorrow.
That was not going to pop up in the Hallmark rotation.
Right.
Yeah.
All right, that's good to know.
Gino's very clear about the work.
You only make the bad Santa mistake once, right?
You don't want to repeat that.
We'll be repeating something at the end of the week.
It's coming up in just a couple minutes.
We've got some food coming up.
We've got cookie book chat.
We'll talk about it on the show.
Yeah, that's right.
