Today, Hobart-Lawrence police are releasing new video
that shows the arrest of Packers star running back Josh Jacobs.
Now, this is video after Jacobs turned himself
into Hobart-Lawrence police days after an incident
at his home with his ex-girlfriend back in May.
Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery.
The judge deferred judgment on a second misdemeanor
of criminal damage to property.
But just as Jacobs is brought back to the police department,
he asked the officer this question.
If I know I'm 100% didn't do anything wrong,
what can I do in this situation to, like, yeah, avoid it?
Because, like, what, like, I don't, like, to me, it's, like, unfair.
You know what I'm saying?
So, like, I don't really understand.
It's up to you to let it go.
Okay.
He gets paid a ---- ton more than I do.
He does his thing.
I'm saying, like, legally, though, like, if I was to call,
it wouldn't have made a difference.
I'd still be the one.
No. Remember, these charges aren't set in stone.
Oh, okay. It's just what they think.
So there's a chance you could get convicted.
There's a chance they could be dropped.
Jacob's missed six games this season while on the commissioner's
exempt list, but has since returned, played in the last two.
Now, meanwhile, according to the Associated Press,
multiple other women have contacted Hobart police to detail
their own allegations against Jacobs after his arrest in May.
Records obtained by the Associated Press show at least three women told
police they experienced altercations with Jacobs between 2021 and 2022.
Jacob's lawyers shared this statement with us today, saying, quote.
The Brown County District Attorney's Office had these uncorroborated,
old, and previously unreported allegations for months.
They conducted their own exhaustive
investigation along with the police department,
and the DA determined that only two misdemeanor charges were warranted.
They then entered into a plea agreement with Josh Jacobs.
Josh has repeatedly expressed his remorse
and is honoring the terms of the agreement.
We reach out to the NFL today as well,
which sent Fox 6 this statement saying,
We will review these allegations as part of the investigation.
Which has remained open, close quote.
