And good morning to you at home.
I hope you had a nice weekend as we've established.
It was a wet late Saturday into early Sunday.
I dried out pretty quickly yesterday.
Things still drying out depending on where you are.
But another shot of rain. We're turning to the region.
We're talking tomorrow. Yes, you heard me right.
Let's jump right in. Beautiful shot right there.
See some high clouds joining us and do keep in mind if you
are a beach lover looking to head out to the beaches,
we are seeing a beach hazard statement due to expire tomorrow.
15 foot waves and some pretty strong rip currents.
All right, let's track some wet weather together.
Here's what we're seeing.
So this is going to start really around 5 a.m. tomorrow and going
to stick with us throughout the morning, afternoon and evening.
So keep this in mind.
It's going to be fairly fast moving,
similar to what we experienced this past weekend.
Looks like the strongest of this, if you will,
or the most energy looking to drop anything significant
is going to be during those afternoon hours.
And when I say significant, I'll show you
some projected storm totals in a moment.
Really by 9 p.m. we'll start to see the show kind of wrap up
and really by midnight we'll be free and clear of any shot of rain.
And then what follows next, a warming trend.
So this kind of fast forwarded through a couple of days,
but partly cloudy conditions as we move through the rest of the week.
But numbers are ticking on upwards and no,
this is not looking to make it our way.
This is one more satellite radar shot as far as tomorrow is concerned,
just to give you a better idea.
It's going to kind of come in in bands.
You can see 11 a.m. a good amount
of moisture hugging East Bay as well as Solano County.
And then San Francisco will get their turn
as we move through the later part of the afternoon.
So you can see how this will play out.
We're all going to get a fair share of rain.
And here is what these totals look like.
We're talking over a quarter of an inch for areas such as Ukiah,
about a 15th of an inch for San Francisco.
Trace amounts for Monterey as far as central and southern California.
They're going to be leaning on the dry side.
No wind to worry about.
This is what your forecasted highs look like.
Not too shabby, folks.
170 on the board, and that is for Gilroy.
Temperature is well below the seasonal average.
Numbers are going to bottom out tomorrow.
Then we're going to move on upwards.
Again, that warming trend will bring us some a.m. fog.
Just remember, showers tomorrow morning.
Okay, stick with us.
We're going to send you off to a quick commercial break.
We'll meet you back here in about two minutes.
