They got really bad for the Baltimore Ravens today.
They lost Lamar Jackson and then Snoop Huntley.
They were down to an undrafted rookie from UConn.
And as you can tell from that information,
they did not beat the Buffalo Bills today.
So it's gotten pretty bad for the Baltimore Ravens.
Now, moving ahead, if you don't have Jackson,
who sustained the right thumb injury on his throwing hand,
you get to play the Jaguars, you play
the Chargers, and you play the Panthers.
So maybe you lose to the Jaguars, but then you follow four and five.
You could definitely beat the Chargers.
You could beat the Panthers.
And then you're in an okay spot.
But we've gotten to the point,
Can you trust Lamar Jackson to stay healthy for a full season?
When will the two-time MVP show up and then stick around?
And then if he can't stick around for, let's say,
two to three weeks, the injury costs him that much.
You have Brett Hundley coming in.
He's a fine backup quarterback, but he's a backup for a reason.
He's also up and down.
He could give you one good game and then maybe two bad games.
If you have him play for another month.
That might cost you the season.
Maybe Jackson comes back in two to three weeks.
They'll be fine.
But regardless, I don't know if this team is a Super Bowl contender.
I'm still waiting for Jesse Minter
to put it together with Lamar Jackson and Derrick
Henry and a very good defense.
So far, they've been okay.
Is that enough to win the Super Bowl?
No.
Is it enough to win the AFC North?
Probably.
But we'll find out more as we get more information on Lamar Jackson.
