Y'all were a little anxious last night,
waking up to this game against Rutgers.
Not really sure how your team was going to come out.
They were on the road in Piscataway looking
for their second Big Ten win of the season.
And the big question was, could the offense do something?
First offensive possession of the game for Michigan
and Tommy Carr finds J.J. Buchanan.
Question answered.
Great catch.
Six yards for the score.
Wolverines up seven-zip.
Second quarter, Maize and Blue up 14-3.
Rutgers quarterback A.J. Cerese throws it
to a wide open Jordan Houston.
My goodness, is that a nice play.
He does the rest, 80 yards on the touchdown strike.
Cuts the lead to three.
Scarlet Knights added field goal,
and Michigan had a 14-13 lead at the break.
Third quarter, same score, third down
for the Wolverines and the Rutgers.
Carr runs it up the middle for the score.
Michigan takes a 21-13 lead.
Then in the fourth, Rutgers ties it back up at 21, but they had...
No answer for Carr, whether it was by pass or run.
Check out this play.
Carr rolls right and into the end zone.
Nine yards on the score.
Wolverines up 28-21 late in the fourth.
Then, with two minutes left on third and one,
a Michigan first down is going to end the game and seal the win.
They get it with a little help from his friends.
Tommy Carr muscles through.
He had a day, man.
266 yards passing, 54 rushing, and three TDs.
Michigan beats Rutgers 28-21.
