Undead and squeaky clean: Venice car wash promises frights and a free scrub

Well, even though there's rain coming. People are showing up to a car wash tonight because there's a party in Mar Vista where zombies are washing cars for free. Kristy Fajardo is there with more. Kristy. Yeah, the corner of Sentinella and Venice Boulevard is now overrun by zombies and people are being advised to stay in their cars and roll up their windows. And I'm learning a little bit about zombies tonight. One, they have no rhythm. Two, they apparently love to wash cars. And three, they're very friendly like Emma here. How old are you, Emma? I'm 11 years old. And how long have you been a zombie? I become a zombie every school year. Every school year. So you love being a zombie. Yeah, it's pretty fun. Well, thank you so much, Emma. But take a look. I want to show you what is going on here. A mysterious meteor shower has turned Rhody High School class of 1971 into zombies. Helpful zombies. Who knew? They don't eat brains. Instead, they like to wash cars for free, bringing together the homecoming queen, the nerds, even the jocks on this Halloween Eve. No crying kids here. These zombies are funny. It's all a part of a promotion for Rhody Brew which is a zero alcohol beer and has an office three doors down from this car wash. As a child, teenager, 1971 at the Rhody High School we had a meteor shower just on our homecoming night. Unfortunately we didn't live beyond that point but we came back together years later to To revive our dream. A beer that didn't have any alcohol, zero alcohol, and zero calories. It was such a great thing to do with the kids the night before Halloween. Such a great idea. I think the guys from Rhody are doing a great job with stuff, so it's great. I love it. Family friendly. Super family friendly. Not that scary, but scary enough for them to the guys. They were yelling in the car, I love this, I love this. They were waving at the zombies. Such a great idea. Hopefully it becomes a Halloween tradition. And back out here live, the zombies will be washing cars for free until 10 p.m. tonight. Again, it is at the corner of Venice and Sentinella at the Village Car Wash. And there's a deputy zombie as well. For now, I'm live, or maybe I should say not quite alive, in Mar Vista. We actually took the live truck through and they cleaned it for us. Well, that's good. I'm sure the head of ops will be happy about that. Free car wash. It's a car wash.
