Asslaamualaikum,
This is a walking tour video around Galata Kulesi or Galata Tower, this video was made during the summer of 2022.

Bereketzade Ali Efendi Mosque, a mosque built in the 15th century in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, just below the Galata Tower.

More Info (Galata).
It is known as the first mosque built in Galata after the conquest of Istanbul. Its patron is Bereketzade Hacı Ali Bin Hasan, one of the directors of Galata Tower. The mosque, which was closed to worship in the 1920s and was given the status of "building to be protected" by the Istanbul Monuments and Museums Directorate in 1939, was completely demolished by the municipality in the years 1948-1952, despite the conservation decision; The land has been converted into a parking lot. In the 1990s, it was rebuilt in accordance with its original form by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, with the approval of the High Council for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage. In the Bereketzade District, the former British Naval Hospital near the building is now Beyoğlu Eye Hospital. In the inscription of the mosque, it is written that there is a secret passage that leads from the Galata Tower to the minaret of the mosque and from here to the old port of Karaköy, where only one person can pass.

A madrasa and its fountain are also mentioned in the sources. The madrasa has not survived to the present day. A new fountain was built by Defterdar Mehmed Efendi in 1732 instead of the fountain that was destroyed over time. The Bereketzade fountain was removed from its location in the 1950s and moved in front of the wall remnant of the Galata Tower in the direction of Beyoğlu.

In Hüseyin Ayvansarayî 's work " Hadikatül Cevami ", there is a mention of a tombstone around the mosque, which has no writing on it and is said to belong to Bereketzade Ali Efendi.
