Our Final Day in The Philippines...

oh good boy well the sad time has come i feel sad i don't actually want to leave we love it so much feel a little bit emotional i can't believe we're saying this but today is our final day here we fly out tomorrow i'm really sad it's gone really quick our trip's not over we've got many more countries to go actually it's quite a lot longer so i'm excited for that in one aspect but equally we've had a great time here and it's always so hard leaving especially when we don't know exactly when we're coming back it's been the most amazing trip and i know we will be back soon we'll be back at some point soon we've got plans too we just don't know when they are yet we've come out for a stroll around btc this morning to say goodbye i guess to all the spots we love here and it's just like really weird isn't it it's gone a bit quick like it's not been quick you take this i'll have it it has it's gone quick but it's sad it's never nice but uh all good yeah of course mate all good things must come to an end but don't worry guys we are not gonna dampen the mood in today's vlog we got a wonderful vlog ahead we've got a wonderful day ahead we're gonna head down to a nice area that we haven't yet been to so something fresh for us something fresh for the vlogs where they used to do supercar sunday it is a sunday today however we may be too late for the supercars but don't worry we're gonna have a nice time i can't hear any supercars racing around there was one time we met some people that we knew or we knew one of the guys and then his friend came along and lucy and i got a ride in i think it was a nissan skyline and a lamborghini like an old school lamborghini it was a fun vlog we got taken around all these roads right here just incredible times something i've just thought is incredibly filipino that i've never really considered to be but it's something we all do everyone here right now including us is hiding in a little shade spot before the lights turn green we're nowhere near the road we need to cross that's true and we're just waiting until it turns green and then we'll walk the extra distance to get there before it goes red again but at least we've settled back into that kind of thing yeah in england you'd never do that no but i mean the lights wouldn't yeah 100 but even on like the first few days here we were standing in the sun we were like oh yeah we haven't had this for two years yeah and now it's like no we will stand in the shade because it's very warm it's very hot see at his request i have to add it's a good idea we're having a short walk around here before meeting someone for a coffee who you may know been a character in the vlogs before many years ago uh some of you may be familiar with her but anyway first we are taking a short walk they've made it so nice along here speaking a bit more quietly because remy's asleep but i don't remember this being like an actual walkway with these like with these nice lanterns all the way down this is like the greenway park area and this is where some of you may remember if you watched the vlogs years ago i hope these videos aren't just us talking about all the things we used to do we also want these vlogs to be current and this is what we're doing now but it's it's hard not to talk about it because we lived here and it's like feels special to us but yeah this is the place taking pictures this is the place that lucy and i used to come out in the evenings quite often and early mornings as well we used to run there's a whole path there's some people walking and jogging and stuff now the whole path that ran directly from the entrance of our condo pretty much we had to cross like a car park i wonder if that bmw still there there was an abandoned e30 bmw 3 series and we looked at it every time and we put it on the vlog and we said whose car is this and part of us wanted to try and buy it and restore it whilst we were here like a little car project whilst we were in the philippines would have been so cool never happened but i wonder if it's still there if we make it all the way down to the car park i'll have a look it'll be so funny if it's still there jeez coda's taking a picture of me yeah they've got this whole greenway path oh it's a video and a nice kind of walking area we're gonna go that way okay lucy's calling us that way i just realized why it looks so nice and it's because they finished all of this they finished all the planting here or maybe it's still ongoing that's why um it's just super green here luce do you remember they were always digging here it's always that building light going on but it seems they finished it now it's kind of like bamboo it's like an oasis yes bamboo now all the way along here we used to run up and down here every morning okay not every morning let's be uh let's be real let's be realistic but it was it was fairly fairly frequent wasn't it yeah this car looks like it's got an actual sad face look its mouth is like turned downwards i've never seen that before okay guys i was wrong there are some nice cars here today i'm just a little pov shot just pushing around me trying to get him to sleep oh look at that nice porsche there beautiful that is so nice look at that color the thing of the cars out here as well generally speaking they don't rust so like in the uk you get these old this is like a 993 carrera in the uk a lot of these are starting to rust but that looks in beautiful condition that is so so nice oh look that's like a dream car that's so stunning we've got a 996 porsche back in the uk that was the model that was the model just before it nice little mx5 and then a more modern look at that that's at the 991 i think very very nice again with the weather out here cars just stay so nice in the uk every you wash your car and then the next day it's done it's got rain spots on it it's got dust on it look at that lambo over there really nice and then a car that i really like and in the uk the prices have gone down of these original audi r8s the prices have come way down on these i don't know what it's like here but in the uk like you can pick these up i mean they're still very expensive but nowhere near as much as they were before and i think they had a v10 engine or v12 engine just a little car section there a couple nice cars oh and there's a lotus up here as well i'm so bad with newer car models is that the okay i'm going to show you and comment below car people comment below what model this is that is very very nice so if you watch the channel oh it's the emira yes i did know that i'm not just saying it that's so nice look at those wheels as well before really really stunning and this road this street with um wildflower over there this is the street where everyone kind of parks up i mean look at these look at these rear ends that lambo i mean i always love this classic which is now a classic audi r8 and it's just so clean and then again the lamborghini again terrible with models that's so cool didn't didn't expect to see any cars i thought we might be a little bit too late today very very nice yeah that lotus is so nice yeah if you watch the channel i was going to say we've got a classic lotus elan from the 90s in our garage at home which we get out in the summer it's a little bit broke at the moment i need to get some work done on it but that has inspired me to get all the cars sorted once we were back in the uk very cool just realized i think they put a 996 tiptronic steering wheel on this which is interesting i've never seen that done before beautiful i am so warm oh my goodness so we are walking down now which is like a little row of restaurants and like some little mini mall areas and stuff really little we used to live i can actually see our old condo from here and it's a nice area actually it feels it really is just making me feel nostalgic because this was literally our sunday morning walk for years and here we are on a sunday morning experiencing it again it's really nice to just like laugh it up and people are enjoying breakfast and stuff there's a few new spots down here a few similar familiar spots unfortunately shaka's not here anymore which is a shame i don't know what happened to shaka but yeah it doesn't seem to be a thing anymore in manila although i think it there was a makati village for a while but then you look and it says temporarily closed so i'm not entirely sure but that was always such a good spot i really before we came out i told koda about the smoothie bowls and he was so excited so we had to let him down it's no longer open but yeah here we're at burgos circle now and we're going to basically loop back up the high street and we're meeting our friend at toby's but she's basically going to be like you guys all right because we're going to turn up dripping with sweat and looking a bit disheveled but it's all good we'll just say we walked the entire length of bgc before meeting you at midday heat for some reason um anyway yeah we'll catch you guys when we get there but yeah so nice george is struggling because he's having to carry koda the whole time because it's hot for us but for kids it's even hotter and um bless codes he wants a little carry um every now and again and in this heat fair play to you fair play oh my goodness what do you say really loud that's his favorite that's his favorite one well no he likes to spin more yeah true yeah yeah amazing what do you say i'm gonna get it out that is so cool look at yourself look at look in the camera yeah yeah back they've got a little brunch thing on today sort of lunchy brunchy buffet type thing so we're heading back for that hi i cannot believe how warm it is honestly it's like 34 degrees i think i swear it feels like about 50 but maybe it's something a full long dress today maybe that's my bad maybe i should have worn shorts but anyway very happy to be back in some ac and yeah so nice catching up with cyril we haven't seen her in so long um and it was nice hearing about all that she's been up to we could have stayed longer to be honest but yeah we got back because we've got this brunch booked so yeah looking forward to more food another food heavy day as always on the vlogs okay amazing buffet here loads of protein basically like prawns chicken fried steak sushi panela vegetables it's really good so we just had an interesting email it's a few hours later now oh yeah spent a little bit of time in the room packing up packing the suitcases we got quite a lot done pretty productive we've come out for the classic evening stroll we're actually gonna head to shake shack yeah we started our bgc trip at shake shack and we're gonna end it that way full circle moment we're gonna do that but yeah we just got this interesting email from air asia and whenever you get a little notification little ping and it's an email from air asia it's not usually a good thing so what did this email say you may ask well it said your flight tomorrow has not been cancelled so we're we're it's fine we're we're uh focusing on the it's been delayed so our flight tomorrow was already like an eveningish flight basically tomorrow we fly to hong kong we're in hong kong for just a little bit we're taking the boys to disneyland coda is ridiculously excited we're going to the part of disneyland he's really looking forward to is toy story land because he is currently obsessed with toy story all the movies he's got all the toys he's like pretty much finished off his collection at home of the toy story characters he's got all of them like the full-size characters it takes up so much space in the house so he's super excited for that but yeah we're already supposed to be arriving there like in the evening which isn't ideal with the boys bedtime and stuff but now it's going to be even later we're hoping it's not a repeat of a scenario because you're putting it out there we had a we had a little situation with air asia a couple years ago um when we were flying to ilo ilo on the last trip oh was it back to manila yeah right and the flight was delayed an hour we were like okay fine an hour we can deal with an hour then we got there no no no there was like four separate emails and they kept getting late or one in the morning flying i remember actually sitting in a hotel at the table yeah and like trying to replan this whole thing yeah that was here i remember that see we're hoping we're not just going to get more and more emails as this evening progresses or worst case wake up tomorrow with emails saying the flight's cancelled stop speaking this is making me nervous it won't happen it's not going to happen i have to say on this trip we have been so lucky lucy's not even gonna like me saying this either we have been we've had no disruptions in our travel it's been i'm leaving i'm walking off it's been weeks and weeks and weeks of things just working as they should be we had the odd 15 20 minute delay for a flight or whatever but really nothing dramatic at all okay same table more or less same order we've got take that out for him oh that's his right so that's is that mine i don't know i thought i thought that was cut you're giving that to koda but it's got tomato that's mine all right thank you very much okay very similar order thank you very much thank you thank you thank you and how which one oh good boy well the sad time has come it's the end of the vlog it's the end of the philippines trip for now never say never where are we going tomorrow toy story land within disneyland but yeah guys we have had the most incredible time here i think we have all put it down as our best philippines trip ever potentially i don't know how can there be a highlight i just like being here just waking up knowing the best bit of being in your trip is being on the trip i can't think of a pinpoint okay no i know when we had that dinner in brackeye that one of those first nights out on the beach it was a small like tacos place or something we found oh yeah that was special that was amazing the boys were happy everyone the sunset beautiful like amazing you i don't know i've asked the question with no idea of what to say maybe i feel like settling in brackeye as well maybe because it was so enjoyable this trip it's not very good shot there you go um it was so it felt great being there for a bit longer even just like being in like beachy clothes every day and just heading down to the beach and it being like swimming in the sea in brackeye is really my highlight because i just loved how beautiful it was ice cream headache what was your favorite bit of the whole philippines what's your favorite bit fair enough get the good with the bad i feel sad i don't actually want to leave i'm excited for the traveling we've got coming up we're we're doing some other countries um doing some more in asia and we're we're already we were actually on sky scanner today looking at philippines flights it's like you said earlier like you book the trip when you're at home thinking it's going to be long enough and then when you're actually here it's like when we were planning it was like that's a long time in the philippines like that should be good never enough it's never enough we uh we love it so much feel a little bit emotional but no go back to my first one just being here just waking up knowing we're in manila flying to like cebu that day or just a happy happy happy place to be for us through like the mountains and seeing like the provincial life yeah for sure seeing um like the mountains and like that swimming pool with the view of the uh limestone cliffs yeah the swimming pools so so good but this may be the end of the philippines trip for
