Now to a developing story in Burlington County as we switch gears here. Another crash tonight involving e-scooters. This one in Bordentown. An adult was hurt and a juvenile is in the hospital with critical injuries. This is the 10 o'clock news. I'm Dawn Timoney. A driver of a pickup truck was also involved but did stay on the scene. Our Jill Croce with what we know right now. This stretch of Route 130 is back open tonight but was closed for hours this afternoon as investigators kicked off a crash investigation involving two scooters. Dispatchers say that both operators sustained injuries. There's been multiple accidents right there alone, but and I have witnessed that people don't stop at that crosswalk like they literally are like stopping on the crosswalk. The latest crash to impact Route 130 and Route 662 in Bordentown Township involves two scooters along with a pickup truck with front passenger side damage. First reports of this crash came in after 2:30 p.m. Dispatch says a juvenile was flown to Cooper Hospital with critical injuries while an adult was the other scooter operator also with injuries. Dispatch couldn't elaborate further at this time. So even the presence of crosswalks, no peace of mind? No, not at all. 130 has always been kind of rough. I heard like screaming so I looked out. And I see people rushing over, I see a couple other people stopping their cars. Abby Beckner saw everything unfold right outside her window and says this is the first scooter crash here she's seen in the area. Look for kids and everybody because the kids like playing on the hill here and there is a lot of kids on scooters but just Watch out. You get a lot of kids with scooters and their bikes in this parking lot as well as that one and in this little area right here sometimes it's a little unsafe for them. I just hope it's none of the kids that I know that are always here. We'll have to wait and see if the driver will face any charges and all of this is still an ongoing investigation, so everything is preliminary information in Bordentown Township.
