Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis video demonstrates a card magic trick where four aces appear to reveal themselves one by one through shaking the deck, eventually culminating in the reveal of a royal flush. Unlike similar effects, this version requires no gimmick cards, relying instead on a specific setup and sleight-of-hand techniques.
Hello again everybody. Okay here's a pretty cool trick.
It has the same effect as the royal
frustration trick or pretty similar
but this one does not involve the use of gimmick cards so I
thought you might like it. I will show you the trick
and then I will teach you how it's done.
So we have four aces. We have one, two, three, four aces.
I'm going to take the aces and we're going to flip the aces over.
Now what's going to happen is the aces are going
to reveal themselves as I shake the cards.
We give the cards one shake and then one of the aces reveals itself.
We give the cards another shake and now a second ace reveals itself.
And now what I'm going to do is I'm going
to place that ace on the bottom.
And this time I'm not going to shake the cards.
And when I don't shake the cards, an ace does not reveal itself.
We'll try it one more time for the final ace
and this time we'll give it a shake
and the final ace does in fact reveal itself.
So four aces is a good hand in poker but a better
hand would be a royal flush.
Okay here's how the trick is done.
There are no gimmicks involved.
All you need for this trick are three aces.
The ace of hearts, the ace of clubs, the ace of spades.
Here's the setup.
The Ace of Hearts on top, then the Ace of Spades,
the King of Spades, the Queen of Spades, the Jack of Spades,
the Ten of Spades, the Ace of Clubs on the bottom.
What you do is you'd start off with an Elmsley count.
So you take one Ace off, you push the whole pack,
that's all of these cards, and you return this Ace.
So you say two, and you're pushing the Ace
of Hearts back, and you grab this as two.
The Ace of Clubs is 3, the Ace of Hearts is 4.
So now you've shown 4 Aces.
What you then do is you put this Ace right under this one,
so you're ready to make a little bit of a break.
Because as you flip the cards over, what you're going to do
is you're going to have a break by those two cards.
Now underneath what you're going
to do is you're going to flip the cards
just like that, so that the bottom two cards are facing each other.
face up. Again, you want to shield it with this hand
and then you want to flip the cards like that so these two cards
are face up at the bottom. Then you're set
for an Elmsley Count. You see if I give the
pack a little shake
the first card will reveal itself. Take one off, push the whole pack
off, return that one card. The Ace of Hearts is three.
Four. The Ace of Hearts reveals itself. Then
you give the pack another shake and you take one
Push the whole pack off. Take back the bottom card 2, 3, 4.
The Ace of Clubs reveals itself.
Now you make a little break here.
You put the Ace of Clubs on top of the Ace of Hearts.
And what you do is you flip the card,
the two cards, to the bottom just like that.
So now you just put the Ace of Hearts face up at the bottom.
Now you say, I'm not going to shake the cards,
and no card will reveal itself.
Another Elmsley count.
One, push off the whole pack,
return this card, two, three, four,
and now this time you'll shake the cards.
This is on the bottom,
and the final Ace will reveal itself.
One, push off the whole pack.
Pull back that card two, three, four.
Now flip this Ace over and you're ready
by turning the cards over to show the Royal Flush.
You take one Ace off. You take the King of Spades off.
You take the Queen of Spades off.
Now with a Biddle grip you hold on to the Jack
and slide out the 10. Set the Jack down
and the 10 down and there's the Royal Flush.
So it's a pretty neat effect
and it takes a little bit of practice to get
that flip at the bottom right. You probably caught it when I did it but
anyway thought it was a cool trick since there
are no gimmicks involved and I
know a lot of you don't like gimmicks. So that's it see you next time.
