As we kick off our Halloween weekend,
hopefully, though, for the trick-or-treaters, not so bad.
I know.
We have been trending on the drier side for Halloween,
so I think that the trick-or-treaters should be pretty happy,
and lots of candy should be had this weekend.
But we'll talk about it here in a second.
But here's a live view overlooking our Fox 35 StormTracker radar,
where we do have a couple showers moving inland.
So a few of these now into northern Lake County there,
and then also Volusia.
And we've got a few that are working through Brevard County, too.
So near South Patrick Shores, we've got a couple of these showers.
Overall pretty light,
They have been fading as they've been working inland.
Again, these are very few and far between.
Just heavy enough, though,
to where you've got to use the windshield wipers.
And you probably want to have an umbrella or rain jacket within reach.
That way you can stay dry if you are caught underneath one of these.
So near the villages to Fruitland Park, Umatilla, just north of Eustis.
We've got a couple of these showers just north there of the land.
And extending all the way towards, say, the Daytona Beach area
and around northern parts there of Volusia County.
So as we head throughout the rest of today,
really, it's going to be very few and far between.
Scattered light showers are really more isolated than anything,
but looking ahead towards about noon,
a couple of these are going to be spotty.
That'll help to bring some clouds around through 3 and 4 o'clock.
Again, very few and far between,
all the way through about 6 to 7 o'clock tonight.
We'll see maybe a couple lingering showers and,
again, just some clouds around for today at times,
but I don't think we're going to have a completely cloudy day either.
It is going to be warm.
The fact that we're going to be a little
drier will allow a little more sunshine, too.
Mixed in with some of those clouds,
we'll make it to a high today in Orlando of 85.
For perspective, our average high is 82,
so we're going to be above normal.
85 as well in Bushnell, 84 in the Villages, 80 Palm Coast.
If we're heading up to the beaches,
81 in Daytona Beach and 82 in Cocoa Beach for this afternoon.
Now, let's talk about the weekend
because tomorrow we have one of our big events,
the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
That is tomorrow and kicks off at around 7 o'clock.
The walk itself begins at a 9.
We're looking at a warm, kind of muggy start to our day.
Maybe a couple spotty showers, too, near the coast.
Kind of similar to what we're seeing today.
But we're going to go from 72 tomorrow morning at 7 up to 75 at 9
and 81 degrees at 11.
Be sure to come out.
Stop by.
Say hi.
We would love to chat with you.
It's always such a fun, joyful event
that we do each and every single year.
And it's one of the biggest making strides walks in the country.
And so we'll love to see you there.
Now, we talked about some of those trick-or-treating plans, right?
For the kiddos heading out early before.
Before sunset and before the sun starts to go down
and the younger kiddos like to be out a little earlier in the evening,
we're looking at about a 20% chance of a couple showers will
be near 80 degrees at 79 by 676 at eight. We'll see a 20% chance
of showers and those chances will gradually diminish, though,
as we head into tomorrow night before we see increasing chances
of showers and storms, unfortunately for Sunday.
So if you have weekend plans, Sunday does appear like it's going
to be more the weather two of the days. So 70% chance of rain for
Our Sunday and mostly for Sunday afternoon and evening
when it comes to those shower and storm chances.
Now, looking at the next seven days, we are going
to be expecting temperatures to ease right around the low 80s.
And don't forget election days on Tuesday.
We'll see a high of 83 with about
a 20 percent chance of a spotty shower or two.
So overall, not too bad out there
when it comes to the rain and storm chances.
Don't forget, though, as we head into tomorrow night,
we do fall back an hour, which means we gain an hour of sleep.
All right. It is 5:22.
I'll send it.
We're actually going to look at Snap
the Sun before we send things over.
This is from Carly Goodloe.
She always has the best views from Merritt Island there.
A beautiful sunrise there on the water.
We love featuring your photos.
Scan that QR code with your smartphone and send them our way.
You might just see it featured here on Good Day Orlando.
