No heat, difficult access, air handler the wrong way, replace thermostat with T-4.
You see, that's my scuttle hole over there.
Here's my air handler, and it's facing the wrong way.
So we got to get over here
and see why the heat's not working.
I
gotta
I can't
even
hardly
see
what's
back
there.
Between red and white, I showed 24 volts.
I'm gonna go see if we can jump it out
and see if it'll come on.
I jumped from red
to white.
I heard the heat come on.
Let's go check it.
That heat
problem
was
the
thermostat,
but
it
looks
like
blue
on
the
thermostat
was
common.
I've got to check
my wires here.
See, I'm
in a tight spot right here.
Not the best working conditions,
but the problem is the thermostat and we'll get that replaced.
At this point,
we should be asking ourselves if we can reduce this fraction.
And since we can't identify a common factor between...
Yeah, I made a lot of money.
Is that it
the next time?
We can't reduce it further.
Alright, so for B...
You can see that we have one half plus one fourth
that is required to add two fractions
that have different denominators, denominators two here and four here.
In order to proceed, we have to rewrite these fractions such
that they're over the same denominator.
One way people go about doing this is by identifying
the least common multiple of the denominators.
To do that, they put down the factors of the denominator,
so we have the denominator of 2, its multiples are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10,
and 12, to the denominator of 4, which will be due to the denominator.
So, 1 half rewritten with a denominator of 4 is 2 over 4.
Again, 1 fourth already has a denominator of 4.
That's a denominator of 1 fourth over here.
And then, like we did previously,
all we do is keep the denominator the same.
8 over 12 minus, again,
we don't have to rewrite this one at all since it's already over 12.
8 over 12 minus 1 over 12 equals 7 over 12.
At this point, we should be looking to reduce this fraction.
That said, there are no common factors between seven.
Well, so it's in simplest form.
Again, just to recap, in order to add and subtract fractions,
the fractions have to have the same.
I'm still not done with that one.
I gave him a filter.
He's got eight, but he hasn't changed the filter
since the last time I was there, and I wasn't there.
It's been six months since I was there,
You can imagine what the filter looks like.
It's going to be a good time to have.
